JR JR (pronounced "junior junior"; originally named Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.) is an American indie-pop band from Detroit, Michigan, founded by Daniel Zott and Joshua Epstein. The band also includes drummer Mike Higgins.
Zott and Epstein met each other while playing in other Detroit music projects. They formed Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. in late 2009, and began recording in Zott's basement in Royal Oak, Michigan with few intentions of reaching the public. Their original name, derived from NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., was suggested to the pair as a joke. [1] In 2013 Zott stated, "The name for us was just a way to identify our crazy new project that had no limitations. People have no idea how we are going to sound, and so it gives them a reason to actually take some time to listen to the music." [2] About 2011, the band emailed Dale Earnhardt Jr. to assure him they were not making fun of him; he responded that Jimmie Johnson had already told him about them, he was flattered, and they would "not hear from any lawyers". In July 2010, the band released Horsepower EP via Quite Scientific Records. [5] The Horsepower EP consisted of songs "Nothing But Our Love," "Vocal Chords," "Simple Girl," and a cover of Brian Wilson's song "God Only Knows." [6] The band came out with a second EP titled "My Love Is Easy: Remixes Pt.1" via Quite Scientific Records on November 2, 2010. [7] Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. was noted as 'one of the best new bands' of 2010 and became very well-liked from various sources including Stereogum, SPIN, Under the Radar, Real Detroit, and The Metro Times. [8] [9] [5] The band came out with We Almost Lost Detroit EP via Warner Bros. Records and Quite Scientific Records on April 21, 2011. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. released two singles, "Morning Thought" and "Simple Girl" on April 8, 2011 and September 9, 2011 respectively.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. came out with their first full-length album, It's A Corporate World. [5] The album was released June 7, 2011 via Warner Bros. Records and Quite Scientific Records. [1]
The band came out with their single "If You Didn't See Me (Then You Weren't On The Dancefloor)" on April 2, 2013. The single's release was followed by their EP release, Patterns. [10] [11] The band performed live on May 16, 2013 on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic to premier songs from their album. [12] The featured songs included: "Hiding," "Run," "Mesopotamia," "If You Didn't See Me (Then You Weren't On The Dancefloor)," "Dark Water," "Knock Louder," "War Zone," "Don't Tell Me," and "I Think Of You." [13] They performed on Conan, June 11, 2013, featuring the song "If You Didn't See Me (Then You Weren't On The Dancefloor)." [14]
Patterns EP was released on April 16, 2013, consisting of four songs: "If You Didn't See Me (Then You Weren't On The Dancefloor)," "Dark Water," "Hiding," and "Habits." The band released their second studio album titled, The Speed of Things, on October 8, 2013, with some guidance from Paul Simon. [14] [15] Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. went on tour with Atlas Genius and Family of the Year in the fall of 2013. The band released their mixtape "Produce Vol. 1" on February 5, 2014. Produce Vol. 1 is a new step for the band as they continue their journey towards the spotlight.
On July 15, 2015, the band announced that they were renaming themselves to JR JR to end confusion with the NASCAR driver: "We've had people drive long distances to shows only to be disappointed when they realize it's a neurotic Jew and wild haired gentile from Detroit they've paid to see." [4] They premiered their new single "Gone" from their self-titled album on July 16, 2015. [16]

3 Doors Down is an American rock band from Escatawpa, Mississippi, formed in 1996. The band originally consisted of Brad Arnold, Matt Roberts and Todd Harrell, with Chris Henderson joining in 1998. The band rose to international fame with their debut single, "Kryptonite" in January 2000, which placed in the top three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band signed with Republic Records and released their debut album, The Better Life, the same year. The album was the 11th-best-selling album of that year and was certified septuple platinum in the United States. The group was later joined by drummer Richard Liles, who played during the tour for their first album.

Family of the Year is an American indie rock band based in Los Angeles, California. It consists of members Joseph Keefe (vocals/guitar), Sebastian Keefe (drums/vocals), James Buckey (guitar/vocals), and Christina Schroeter (keyboard/vocals). Their music uses melodic male/female vocal harmonies and folktale-style lyrics. They are best known for their 2012 song "Hero", which was featured in Richard Linklater's 2014 film Boyhood and became a top 10 hit in Austria, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland.
Aron Erlichman, better known by his stage name Deuce, is an American rapper, music producer and guitarist. Brought to fame as a member of the rap rock band Hollywood Undead, Deuce departed from Hollywood Undead in 2010 and has since moved on to solo work through the label "Five Seven Music", a branch of Eleven Seven Music. He was formerly involved in a movement with fellow rapper Truth called "Nine Lives". Deuce released his debut album of the same name on April 24, 2012, which sold 11,425 copies in its first week. Deuce has also collaborated with artists NXTREADY, Ronnie Radke, Brokencyde and Blood on the Dance Floor.

It was founded in the summer of 2010 by students at Indiana University working to sign new artists and expand Tree Machine's outreach. It follows no specific genre and has connected with artists across the globe. Notable artists include Living Hour, !mindparade, co-manager Eazy, Blimp Rock, Jon Dice, Vows, and Living Body. The first production under the label, was co-signed to Gulcher Records and has since received instant recognition in the underground, indie rock world, helping with the founding and early progression of the label.

"Neon Blue" is a song recorded by British group Steps for their fifth studio album, Tears on the Dancefloor (2017). Written by Carl Ryden and Fiona Bevan, it was announced as the third single from the album on 20 July 2017, and subsequently released on 4 August. Musically, it is a mid-tempo pop ballad which begins with a soft piano introduction and builds into an upbeat synth track, while lyrically, it is about encouraging a downcast friend to come out and have some fun. Band member Ian "H" Watkins described "Neon Blue" as a gay anthem due to its message of coming out. It garnered a positive response from music critics, with a general consensus that it is a classic Steps song. Its accompanying music video features a man and a woman who have had bad fortune in their relationships meeting at a party in a night club and their luck turning around. "Neon Blue" was included on the set list of their eighth headlining concert tour, the Party on the Dancefloor Tour (2017).
