Mr Eazi relocated to Kumasi in 2008 and enrolled at KNUST, where he began booking artists to perform at college parties. He showed interest in music after recording a guest verse on "My Life", a song that gained traction and became a popular record at KNUST. Mr Eazi released his debut mixtape About to Blow in 2013. He is signed to Lynx Entertainment and Empire Distribution and is known for several songs, including "Angela", "Wish Me Well," "Ohemaa" and many others. He won the New Artist awards in 2018 from the Ghana Music Awards and the Ghana Music Awards UK. He also received the Most Promising Artist in Africa award from AFRIMA. Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema, is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter. He gained initial recognition with the release of his 2019 song "Dumebi". That same year, he signed with D'Prince's record label, Jonzing World. Afrobeats is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing majorly out of Nigeria. Genres such as hiplife, jùjú music, highlife and naija beats, among others, were amalgamated under the "Afrobeats" umbrella.

His international hit single "Love Nwantiti", also known as "Love Nwantiti ", was released in 2019 by Chocolate City. On 29 March 2022, the song debuted at number one, following the launch of the Billboard Afrobeats chart. On 9 May 2022, it became the first-ever African song to surpass one billion streams on Spotify and has since been deemed "the biggest hit in African history".
"Finesse" is a song by Nigerian record producer Pheelz. It was uploaded on TikTok in February 2022 and commercially released on 3 March 2022, through Riidiimacool. The song was produced by Miichkel and features vocals from Nigerian Afro-fusion singer Bnxn. During its debut week, the record gained popularity across TikTok in Europe and America, with the #FolakeChallenge hashtag.
"Kwaku the Traveller" is a song by Ghanaian drill musician Black Sherif. It was released on 31 March 2022, through Blacko, and Empire. "Kwaku the Traveller" was written by Black Sherif, and produced by Joker Nharnah. Its debuts at number 1 in Nigeria TurnTable Top 50 chart, number 5 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart and number 2 on the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart. On 11 July 2022, following the launch of TurnTable Top 100, an expansion of the Top 50 chart, "Kwaku the Traveller" debut at number 22. On 14 July 2022, "Kwaku the Traveller" debut at number 2 on the newly launched Nigeria Top Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart.
"Sugarcane" is a song by Ghanaian singer and songwriter Camidoh, featuring the Nigerian record producer Phantom, released in 2021 by Grind Don't Stop Records, through Crux Global, and MOVES Recordings. He came into the limelight after his Amapiano remix of the ERA song "Ameno" became a global hit in the last quarter of 2021. In December 2021, the remixed song debuted at number 1 on Billboard World Digital sales. It also became the number 1 song on Shazam global 200 chart. By February 2022, TikTok videos created with the song had almost 10 billion views. Billboard U.S. released its first top 10 Afrobeats charts, with ‘Ameno Amapiano Remix’ charting at number 7. Nektunez also Produced the late Mohbad’s Global hit Song, Ask about me, where He blends Amapiano perfectly with ancient choral chants, Afrobeat and Street-Rap genre. Ask about me became the number 1 song on both Spotify and Apple Music. Debuted on billboard Hot Trending Songs Powered by X Charts, world Shazam charts and also number 10 on the official Afrobeats chart uk.
Ladsmid Nathaniel Owusu known professionally with the stage name Lasmid is a Ghanaian musician and songwriter from Takoradi. He was crowned winner of the MTN Hitmaker Season 8. He is best known for the viral song Friday Night which gained attention in Ghana topping charts after it became a trend on TikTok.
Ifeanyi Chukwuebuka Ibegbunam known professionally as Fecko, is a Nigerian hip hop artist and emcee. He is the winner of The Mic Africa Season 1 and the first Nigerian rapper to perform in the metaverse. The stage name "Fecko" is an acronym for the phrase "Formidable Emcees Can Knockout Obstacles".
Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, known professionally as Khaid, is a Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter currently signed to Neville Records. He rose to stardom with the release of the song "With You", after signing a record deal with Sydney Talker's Neville Records in 2022, which earned him his first chart entry on Nigeria TurnTable Top 50 single chart at number forty-eight on 14 February 2022. Khaid converted to Christianity after leaving Islam.
Korte Dorbor Bazzie, who is known professionally as Kobazzie, is a Liberian singer and songwriter from Voinjama, Lofa County. Oludipe Oluwasanmi David professionally known as Spyro is a Nigerian singer and songwriter, he gained widespread recognition after the release of his single "Billing" which was released in July 2022. He is best known for his song "Who is your Guy?" which was first released in November 2022 and re-released in March 2023 as a remix featuring Tiwa Savage. Spyro also has music collaborations with Mayorkun, Dremo, Sound Sultan,Diamond Platnumz, Davido and many others.
Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma, known professionally as Qing Madi, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. She gained initial recognition following the release of her hit single "See Finish" in 2022. She received wider recognition for her 2023 single "Ole" featuring BNXN, peaking at number one and three on the Uganda and Nigeria Top 100 Apple Music respectively.
