Jacinto "Jing" Villegas Paras (born September 11,1953) is a Filipino lawyer and politician who is a member of the Cabinet of the Philippines and Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs of former President Rodrigo Duterte with the rank of Secretary. [1] [2]
Jing Paras finished his Elementary and High School education from St. Francis College in the City of Guihulngan,Negros Oriental. For college,he finished from University of the Philippines Diliman with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree. [1] He is a member of Upsilon Sigma Phi. [3]
He then got his Bachelor of Laws in 1985 from the University of the Philippines College of Law,and a Masters in Business Administration in 1983 from De La Salle University. [1] [4]
He was President and CEO of the Pantranco Bus Company from 1990 to 1992,Director of the United Coconut Planters Bank,Director of the Philippine Communications Satellite Corporation from 1993 to 1998,and President and CEO of Call Telecoms Inc. from 1995 to 1998. [1]
He also sat as Chairman of the Board of the Philippine National Oil Company from 2008 to 2010,as President and CEO of World Spices International Cuisine Inc. from 2011 to 2017,and Legal Adviser of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption from 2016 to 2017. [1]
He was a Mayor of the City of Guihulngan,Negros Oriental from 1986 to 1988,Assistant Secretary of the Department of Agrarian Reform from 1988 to 1989,Assistant Director (with the rank of Assistant Secretary) of the Municipal Telephone Program of the Department of Transportation and Communications from 1989 to 1992,and Head of the DOTC Action Center from 1989 to 1992. He was elected as member of the House of Representatives from 1998 to 2007. As Representative,he was Chairman of the Special Committee on Food Security from 1998 to 2001,Chairman of the Committee on Transportation and Communications from 2001 to 2007,Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Franchises from 1998 to 2007. He also served as Undersecretary of the Department of Labor and Employment before being appointed as Undersecretary of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO). [1] [5]

According to the 2020 census,it has a population of 102,656 people,the third-most populous city in Negros Oriental after the cities of Dumaguete and Bayawan. The Negros killings were a series of targeted assassinations carried out by unidentified gunmen in the provinces of Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental in the Philippines. Some of the victims involved were suspected communists or sympathizers. Following the killings,Memorandum Order No. 32 was signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on November 23,2018,upon the orders of President Rodrigo Duterte deploying additional troops to the provinces of Negros Oriental,Negros Occidental,Samar,and the Bicol Region to "suppress sporadic acts of violence" allegedly committed by lawless groups and to "prevent such violence from spreading and escalating elsewhere in the country." Even after the memorandum was signed,the incidence of killings continued. According to the Defend Negros Movement,the first recorded extrajudicial killing on Negros Island was Alexander Ceballos on January 20,2017. The group also alleged that at least 84 persons have been killed since 2017.
John Rualo Castriciones,also known by the nickname Bro. John,is a Filipino lawyer and writer who served as the Secretary of Agrarian Reform under the Duterte administration from 2017 to 2021. He was formerly Undersecretary for Operations of the Department of the Interior and Local Government from 2016 to 2017. A member of the Philippine Military Academy "Maharlika" class of 1984,Castriciones also served in various capacities under two previous administrations and as a law school professor at his alma mater Arellano University. His appointment to the Agrarian Reform portfolio was approved by the Commission on Appointments on May 29,2018,after being bypassed earlier by the commission on March 14,2018,and reappointed by Duterte on March 22,2018. Castriciones founded the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas together with the Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte-National Executive Coordinating Committee (MRRD-NECC).

Wencelito Tan Andanar was a Filipino lawyer and politician who served as officer-in-charge (OIC) governor of Surigao del Norte from 1986 to 1988. The Department of Migrant Workers is the executive department of the Philippine government responsible for the protection of the rights and promote the welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and their families. The department was created under the Department of Migrant Workers Act that was signed by President Rodrigo Duterte on December 30,2021. The functions and mandate of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and the Office of the Presidential Adviser on OFW Concerns (OPAOC) will serve as the backbone of the department and absorbing the seven offices of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) namely the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers' Affairs (OUMWA) of the DFA,Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO),International Labor Affairs Bureau (ILAB),National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO) and the National Maritime Polytechnic (NMP) of the DOLE. The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration will serve as its attached agency and the DMW secretary will serve as the concurrent chairperson of OWWA.
