Jack Miller is a Canadian sportscaster and politician born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario.

Miller was hired by CJBQ-AM in Belleville, Ontario as the afternoon drive announcer 1974, working alongside Jack Devine. He took over the sports director position in 1979 and became the play-by-play voice of the Ontario Hockey League's Belleville Bulls in 1981 and has remained in those positions ever since. [1] [2]

Miller also hosted the "OHL game of the week" on the Global Television Network until it was sold to CFMT. Miller has also worked for Rogers Sportsnet as a play-by-play announcer for Canadian Hockey League Broadcasts in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Miller was the back up colour commentator and play-by-play voice for the Ottawa Senators radio network during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Miller also served as the colour commentator and intermission host of Hockey Canada's broadcast IIHF under 20 ( World Junior Hockey Tournament) on the FAN radio Network which was heard on the networks flagship station the FAN590, Miller's home station 800 CJBQ-AM in Belleville, and numerous other stations across the country, until the broadcast rights switched to the TSN Radio Networks. On these broadcasts, Miller worked with Dan Dunleavy.

In November 2006, Miller was elected to Belleville City Council. He had previously served as a member of the Belleville Police Services Board. [3]

Mark Potter has been a well-known sports broadcaster in Eastern Ontario for over thirty years. Born and raised in Portsmouth Village in Kingston, Potter has worked both hockey and baseball broadcasts on TV & radio spanning four decades. His sports broadcasting career began in 1981 when he replaced Chris Cuthbert as the colour man for Jim Gilchrist on Kingston Canadians Ontario Hockey League radio broadcasts for seven seasons. Potter began his television career in 1981 at CKWS TV in Kingston, Ontario working alongside the legendary Max Jackson. Max retired in 1982 and Potter became Sports Director at CKWS TV & Radio. He anchored the nightly sports reports on the six o'clock and 11 o'clock evening newscasts on CKWS-TV for eleven years. He built a reputation as a colourful, outspoken commentator and his favourite target was the hapless Toronto Maple Leafs teams of that era. Potter left CKWS in 1992 to start a new career as an Investment Advisor, but has continued working as a freelance broadcaster with TVCogeco in Kingston. He hosted a weekly one-hour local sports interview show called 'SportsMark'. It ran for five-years and after a brief hiatus he returned hosting a weekly 30-minute sports interview program called 'Sports Profiles'. Potter has been the TV play by play voice of the Kingston Ponies Senior baseball team on TVCogeco since the late 1980s and for the past ten-years has hosted Kingston Frontenacs OHL broadcasts on TVCogeco. In addition he hosts a weekly OHL intermission feature called 'The OHL Roundtable" that is shown in several OHL cities. Potter began his career as a radio announcer at CKWS/CFMK radio in the late 1970s after graduating from Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario from the Broadcast Journalism program. He anchored TV sports in Kingston starting at the age of twenty; the youngest anchor in the history of CKWS-TV, a station that goes back to the mid-1950s. Potter also does radio work as the occasional co-host of the 'Big G & Mathews' morning drive show on KIX Country 93.5fm in Kingston. In 2005 he won a prestigious TVCogeco STAR Award for being named the top broadcaster in Ontario for Cogeco stations. A dedicated longtime community volunteer Potter has been a finalist for Kingston's Citizen of the Year award and a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow; the highest honour given by Rotary International for community service. He is in his tenth year as President of the International Hockey Hall of Fame in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and has been on the Board of Directors since the early 1980s. In 2003, he co-authored a book with Bill Fitsell "Hockey's Hub-Three Centuries of Hockey in Kingston," that chronicles Kingston's rich hockey heritage.

CJBQ is a Canadian radio station licensed at Belleville, Ontario. It is owned by Quinte Broadcasting along with CIGL-FM and CJTN-FM. CJBQ broadcasts at 800 kHz at a power of 10 kW. The transmitter is located in Prince Edward County. The antenna is a six-tower array with differing patterns day and night, to protect Class-A clear-channel station XEROK-AM in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, as well as other Canadian and U.S. stations on the same frequency. Since the late 2000s, CJBQ is the only remaining Canadian AM radio station operating between Ottawa and the Greater Toronto Area.

William John Devine was a Canadian ice hockey administrator and radio sports commentator. He worked for CJBQ radio in Belleville, Ontario for 40 years as the sports director. He was involved with the local sports scene, and was president of the Ontario Hockey Association from 1967 to 1969. He moved up to the national level in 1969 becoming vice-president of the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) in 1969, and later served as its president from 1973 to 1975.

Alex Faust is an American television sportscaster who was most recently the television play-by-play voice for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He also calls national NHL games for TNT, and national Major League Baseball (MLB) games for Apple TV+ and Fox Sports. He started filling in for Jack Edwards (sportscaster) on NESN for select Boston Bruins games during the 2023-24 NHL season. He gained additional fame in 2018 when Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek suggested that Faust could replace him as the show's host.

Jack Michaels is an American ice hockey announcer who is currently the play-by-play announcer for Edmonton Oilers broadcasts on 630 CHED and Sportsnet television. He was previously the announcer for the Colorado Gold Kings of the West Coast Hockey League (WCHL) from 1999 to 2002, and the Alaska Aces of the ECHL from 2002 to 2010.
