Jack Shark Lake is a lake located on Vancouver Island on the west side of Augerpoint Mountain west of Mount Albert Edward in Strathcona Provincial Park. [1]
The bull shark, also known as the Zambezi shark in Africa and Lake Nicaragua shark in Nicaragua, is a species of requiem shark commonly found worldwide in warm, shallow waters along coasts and in rivers. It is known for its aggressive nature, and presence mainly in warm, shallow brackish and freshwater systems including estuaries and (usually) lower reaches of rivers. This aggressive nature is a reason for its population being listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. Shark-culling occurs near beaches to protect beach goers, which is one of the causes of bull shark populations continuing to decrease.
Mount Forbes is the seventh tallest mountain in the Canadian Rockies and the tallest within the boundaries of Banff National Park. It is located in southwestern Alberta, 18 km (11 mi) southwest of the Saskatchewan River Crossing in Banff. The mountain was named by James Hector in 1859 after Edward Forbes, Hector's natural history professor at the University of Edinburgh during the mid-19th century.
The East Fremantle Football Club, nicknamed the Sharks, is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). Diana Nyad is an American author, journalist, motivational speaker, and long-distance swimmer. Nyad gained national attention in 1975 when she swam around Manhattan in record time, and in 1979 when she swam from North Bimini, The Bahamas, to Juno Beach, Florida. In 2013, on her fifth attempt and at age 64, she succeeded in swimming from Havana, Cuba to Key West, Florida, completing the third known swim crossing of the Florida Straits after Walter Poenisch in 1978, and Susie Maroney in 1997. Both of those earlier efforts involved a shark cage and, in Poenisch's case, fins and several short rests on his escort craft. Nyad completed the crossing without these aids, but did use a protective jellyfish suit, shark divers, and electronic shark repellent devices. The crossing has not been formally ratified by any recognized marathon swimming organization, but a comprehensive report by the World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA) suggests that Nyad did complete this assisted swim under her own power.

Darke Lake Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada located west of Okanagan Lake, southwest of the town of Peachland in that province's Okanagan region. The park is approximately 1,470 hectares in size and was established in 1968 as a provincial park Darke Lake, also mapped historically as Fish Lake, is northwest of Summerland and is named after Silas Robert Darke, an early settler in the 1890s. In 1941 Howard Clark bought Fish Lake from Clyde Stewart. He was a hunting and fishing guide that ran the camp, as well as raised four children with his wife Hazel. The children were Betty, Roger, Dale & Audrey. In 1959 he sold it to Jake and Betty Enns.
Oregon Jack Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada located in the Clear Range west of Ashcroft. It protects the limestone canyon of Oregon Jack Creek, at the head of which is a waterfall named the Notch, above which is included a wetland area. The site was an important First Nations site and there are pictographs, culturally modified trees and a site known as the Three Sisters Rock Shelter.
Takla Lake Marine Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. Located northeast of the town of Smithers and roughly parallel to Babine Lake to its west/southwest, it comprises three sites on Takla Lake in the northwestern part of the Omineca Country of the province's North-Central Interior. The three sites are the Sandy Point Site, containing about 160 ha, Takla Lake West containing about 41 ha, and White Bluff, containing about 349 ha.

He has served as the member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of British Columbia for the electoral district of Coquitlam-Burke Mountain since 2020, as part of the British Columbia New Democratic Party caucus. The hooktooth shark, is a weasel shark of the family Hemigaleidae, the only extant member of the genus Chaenogaleus, but there is an extinct species, Chaenogaleus affinis. The hooktooth shark is found in the tropical Indo-West Pacific oceans between latitudes 30° N and 10° S, including the Persian Gulf, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam, China, Taiwan, and Java and Sulawesi in Indonesia, from the surface to a depth of 59 meters. It can reach a length of 1 meter. It is considered a vulnerable species.
David Quinn is an American professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL) and United States men's national hockey team. He was previously the head coach of the New York Rangers of the NHL, for three seasons; the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League, an assistant coach for the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL, and the head coach at Boston University. He was formally inducted into the Rhode Island Hockey Hall of Fame in 2021.
The Cadwallader Range, originally named the Cadwallader Mountains, is a sub-range of the Pacific Ranges of the Coast Mountains in the Bridge River-Lillooet Country of the South-Central Interior of British Columbia, Canada, located between the south end of Anderson Lake (E) and the Hurley River. According to the provincial basemap, the precise alpine boundaries of the range are McGilliray Pass, at its eastern extremity and beyond which is the Bendor Range, and the pass between Noel and Sockeye Creeks on its west, which is immediately north of the lower end of Birkenhead Lake. The officially unnamed range west of that has been called the Noel Range, after its main peak Mount Noel. At the foot of the range along its northeast flank is Cadwallader Creek, scene of the historic and once-rich Bralorne and Pioneer Mines and the ghost town of Bralorne.
Rugby League British Columbia, formerly known as British Columbia Rugby League, is a non-profit organization and a member of Canada Rugby League. The 2015 Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks season is the 49th in the club's history. Coached by Shane Flanagan and captained by Paul Gallen, they competed in the NRL's 2015 Telstra Premiership. Starting the season as the previous season's wooden spooners, the Sharks finished the regular season in 6th place to reach the finals, winning their first play-off match but losing their second to eventual premiers North Queensland Cowboys and being knocked out of contention.
