Jackass 5 is an upcoming American reality slapstick comedy film directed and produced by Jeff Tremaine, along with producers Spike Jonze, and Johnny Knoxville, and will be released by Paramount Pictures. It will be the fifth and final main instalment in the Jackass film series, following Jackass Forever (2022). The film stars original Jackass members Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee Man, Preston Lacy, Dave England, and Danger Ehren, along with new members Sean "Poopies" McInerney, Zach Holmes, Jasper Dolphin, Eric Manaka, and Rachel Wolfson, who all became new members in the previous Jackass film. [1] It is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 26, 2026.
Jackass 5 is a compilation of stunts, skits, and pranks, intercut with on-set talking heads with its cast. The film will bring back the biggest stunts and pranks from the franchise, as well as brand new ones, and never-before-seen footage. [2] The movie will be a mix of old and new footage. [3]
The entire main cast of Jackass Forever (2022) is set to return for this film. [4] Original cast member Bam Margera, who was fired from the production of Jackass Forever, will only appear in this movie through archive footage. [2]
Johnny Knoxville announced the film on his official Instagram account on January 8, 2026. [5] During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on January 15, 2025, he said that he cannot do any stunts that can lead to a concussion anymore, [4] as in Jackass Forever (2022), he got a broken rib, a broken wrist, a concussion, and brain hemorrhage during a stunt with a bull. [6]
Original cast member Bam Margera, who was fired from the production of Jackass Forever, will only appear in the new movie through archived footage. [2] Bam himself later said that he will not film new scenes for the upcoming film. [7]
Steve-O said on his podcast that the movie will be a mix of old and new footage. [3] He also said the movie will serve as a celebration of the entire franchise, bringing back the best bits of the previous movies, along with brand new ones, and never-before-seen footage. [8]
Knoxville said Jackass 5 will be the last Jackass film. "This feels like a natural place to end", he said. [9]
Principal photography started in late February 2026, with the entire main cast of Jackass Forever returning. [4] The opening sequence was filmed for five days. [10]
The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 26, 2026. [11]
