Jacqueline Ellen Boydell (born 22 February 1968) is an Australian former politician. She was elected to the Western Australian Legislative Council as a Nationals member for Mining and Pastoral region at the 2013 state election. Prior to her election,Boydell was state director of the WA Nationals and previously served as the parliamentary executive officer for the party. [1]
Boydell was born and raised in Carnarvon,and returned there after studying media journalism at WAAPA. She then worked as a radio announcer and in human resources for a major mining operation. Her career has included roles at Centrelink Carnarvon,the Carnarvon Civic Centre and the Northern Guardian Newspaper.
Following the 2017 state election,which resulted in Nationals leader Brendon Grylls losing his seat,Deputy Leader Mia Davies was confirmed as the new party leader with Boydell confirmed as her Deputy Leader,a historic landmark in WA political history.
In February 2020,Boydell announced she would not recontest her seat at the 2021 state election. [2] She resigned as deputy party leader on 9 March 2020 and was replaced by Shane Love. [3] [4]

Mia Jane Davies is an Australian politician who is the current Leader of the Opposition and leader of the National Party in Western Australia. She has been a member of the state Legislative Assembly since 2013,having previously served in the Legislative Council from 2009 to 2013. Davies was elected deputy leader of the Nationals in November 2013,and replaced Brendon Grylls as leader in March 2017 following his defeat at the 2017 state election. As a result of the Liberal Party's electoral wipeout at the 2021 state election,she became leader of the opposition after Premier Mark McGowan gave her party the official opposition party funding,the first member of her party to hold the role since Arthur Watts in 1947.
Liza Mary Harvey is an Australian politician who was the Liberal Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from 2008 to 2021,representing the seat of Scarborough. She was a minister in the government of Colin Barnett,and in 2016 was appointed deputy premier,becoming the first woman to hold the position. She became leader of the opposition after being elected unopposed to replace Mike Nahan as state Liberal leader on 13 June 2019. On 22 November 2020,she resigned as Liberal leader and was replaced by Zak Kirkup. She lost her seat at the 2021 election.

The 45th Parliament was officially prorogued by the Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove at 8:29 a.m. on 11 April 2019,and the House of Representatives dissolved at 8:30 a.m..

The Shadow Cabinet of Christopher Luxon has formed the official Opposition in the 53rd New Zealand Parliament since December 2021,replacing the Shadow Cabinet of Judith Collins. Christopher Luxon was appointed Leader of the National Party and Leader of the Opposition in a party leadership election on 30 November 2021.
