Jalesky Garcia Padron (born 28 January 1975) is an Icelandic/Cuban handball player and coach who competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics. [1]
Since 2009 he has been the manager of the Puerto Rican National team.
Andrés Simón Gómez is a former sprinter from Cuba who won an Olympic bronze medal in 4 x 100 metres relay in 1992 Barcelona. He also participated in the relay at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. He specialized in the 60 meters and 100 metres events. His personal best for the 100m is 10.06, set in Havana 1987. He won the gold medal in the 60 m competition at the 1989 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Budapest.

It was the lowest number of participants for Guatemala since the 1980 Games in Moscow, USSR. Three of the twelve athletes were taking part in their second Olympics, and one of them, race walker Luis García, participated in his fourth. In any event that involved a progression through rounds, the Guatemalan athletes did not advance past the first round; as of the Beijing Olympics, there had yet to be a Guatemalan medalist. At the opening ceremony, badminton player Kevin Cordón bore Guatemala's flag.

She also was a member of the Peruvian team that won the silver medal in the 1982 FIVB World Championship in Peru. She was a setter.
