James Morris (born 2 January 2000) is an English college soccer player who plays for Northern Premier League Division One East club Stocksbrige Park Steels.

Playing career

Doncaster Rovers

Morris made his professional debut in a 1–0 victory over Sunderland U21s on 3 October 2017 in the EFL Trophy coming on as a 45th-minute substitute for Andy Williams. [1]

Seattle University Redhawks

Morris entered university at Seattle University in Seattle, Washington in 2019. [2] He plays for the university's varsity men's soccer team which competes in the Western Athletic Conference. He scored a brace on his debut against Houston Baptist, [3] and a hat trick against CSU-Bakersfield on 19 October. [4]

Return to England

In July 2024, Morris joined Northern Premier League Premier Division side Matlock Town. [5] He departed the club in October 2024. [6]

On 4 October 2024, the day after his departure from Matlock Town was announced, Morris joined Stocksbridge Park Steels. [7]

The Redhawks, led by second year head coach Suzy Barcomb, played their home games at the Connolly Center and were members of the Western Athletic Conference. They finished the season 18–15, 9–5 in WAC play to finish in a tie for third place. They won the WAC women's tournament for the first time in school history by defeating Cal State Bakersfield to earn an automatic trip to their first NCAA women's tournament, where they lost to Oregon in the first round.

The 2018 Western Athletic Conference men's soccer season is the 23rd consecutive competition of men's college soccer in the Western Athletic Conference under the 2018 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The season will feature twelve teams, where five are affiliate members of the conference. Air Force, San Jose State, and UNLV will compete from the Mountain West Conference, while Houston Baptist and Incarnate Word come from the Southland Conference.
