James Paton (born 24 May 1957 in Newcastle [1] ) is a sport shooter from Canada.
At the 1997 Commonwealth Shooting Championships in Kuala Lumpur he won the fullbore rifle event. [2]
The following year at the 1998 Commonwealth Games (also in Kuala Lumpur) he won the gold medal in the fullbore rifle open individual event and silver in the pairs event (with Alain Marion). [3]
At the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, he won silver medals in the fullbore rifle individual and pairs events (this time with Desmond Vamplew). [4]
In 2005, he won the Queen's Prize at the NRA Imperial Meeting at Bisley, matching the record score of 300.40v. [5]
Fullbore target rifle (TR) is a precision rifle shooting sport discipline governed by the International Confederation of Fullbore Rifle Associations (ICFRA). TR uses single-shot rifles, usually chambered in .308 calibre, with circular "bullseye" targets at distances of 300–1000 yards. The term "fulbore" in the name refers to using relatively large calibre firearms, particularly those larger than .22 inches (5.6 mm). In contrast, smallbore rifle shooting uses firearms chambered for relatively low-powered ammunition, typically .22 long rifle rimfire cartridges.

Sally Johnston is a New Zealand competitive sport shooter. She started shooting in 1983 with her first international competition in 1995 at the Oceania Championships in Auckland. Johnston placed eighth in the 50m rifle three positions and ninth in the 10m air rifle. In 1997, she beat her personal bests in all three events at the Oceania Championships in Adelaide where she placed fourth in the 50m rifle prone, tenth in the 10m air rifle and eleventh in 50m rifle three positions event.
Desmond Vamplew is a sport shooter from Canada. He won the gold medal in the men's/open fullbore rifle event at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, and the silver medal in the Queen's Prize fullbore rifle pairs event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Suma Shirur is a former Indian shooter who competed in the 10 metre air rifle event. She is a joint world record holder in the event, having scored the maximum of 400 points in the qualification round, which she achieved at the 2004 Asian Shooting Championships in Kuala Lumpur. In 2003, she was awarded the Arjuna Award by the government of India. She is currently the High Performance Coach of the Indian Jr. Rifle Shooting Team. She is also the coach of 2020 Paralympics women's SH1 10m rifle gold and women's SH1 50m 3-position rifle bronze medalist Avani Lekhara On 30 November 2022, she was conferred the Dronacharya Award by the 15th President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

Andrew St George Tucker (1937–2003) was a Scottish-born, sports shooter who represented England and Great Britain shooting smallbore and fullbore target rifle. He won the Queen's Prize at Bisley twice, medalled at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland as well as winning the NSRA Lord Roberts Trophy for smallbore, He also won the Grand Aggregates at both the NRA Imperial Meeting and NSRA National Smallbore Meeting. He is the first and only person to win the "big four" of both British titles and both Grand Aggregates. He ran Andrew Tucker Gunsmiths, manufacturing firearms and target shooting equipment including jackets, rifle slings and gloves.
