Janani Ashok Kumar (born 28 November 1992) [3] is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Tamil television. She is best known for her role, Bharathi on Zee Tamil's soap opera Idhayam . [4] [5] Janani is also known for her roles in the television shows Mappillai , Sembaruthi , Mouna Raagam and Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar . [6]
Janani Ashok Kumar was born on 28 November 1992 to Tamil speaking parents in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She did her schooling and college from a private institude in Coimbatore. She has a master in Bioinformatics from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Her father Ashok Kumar, is in charge of transportation in a private school in Coimbatore while her mother Santhanalakshmi is costume designer. [7]
In 2016, Janani debuted in the soap opera Mappillai playing the role of Janani Kamal along side actors Senthil Kumar and Sreeja Chandran which aired on Star Vijay.[ citation needed ] She later went on to appear in shows such as Mouna Raagam , Sembaruthi and Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar .[ citation needed ] In 2023, Janani was given the chance to act as an leading actress in the serial Idhayam opposing actor Richard N. J. the serial aired on Zee Tamil. [8] She also runs a Youtube channel vlogging her daily life. [9] [10]
In 2023, she also acted in the comedy web series Vera Maari Office marking her web series debut playing a lead female role in the series, the series aired on the OTT streaming service platform Aha Tamil. [11]

Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, also known mononymously as Bharathi, is an Indian actress known primarily for her work in Kannada cinema and television serials. She began her career in 1966, as a lead actress, with the Kannada movie Love in Bangalore though Dudde Doddappa was her first release.
