Jang Yong-chol (born 1964) is a North Korean former diplomat. [2]
Jang is likely the son of Jang Myong-hui and Jang Song-kil,which would make him the nephew of Jang Song-thaek. He served in the Korean People's Army between 1980 and 1984 and attended Kim Il-sung University,studying economics. [2]
Early in his career,Jang worked for the Kim Il-sung Youth League (KISYL),first,during the 1990s and early 2000s,as secretary and first secretary of the Pyongyang branch of KISYL. Between 2003 and 2007 Jang was a secretary of the central committee of KISYL. [2]
Jang was appointed the North Korean ambassador to Nepal in 2007. He became the ambassador to Malaysia in August 2010. In late 2013,he was recalled following the execution of Jang Song-thaek. His current position and whereabouts are unknown. [2]
Kim Jong-chul,sometimes spelled Kim Jong Chol,is a son of former North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Il. His younger brother is current Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. His older half-brother Kim Jong-nam was assassinated in February 2017.
Pak Song-chol or Park Sung-chul was a North Korean politician who served as Premier of North Korea from 1976 to 1977. He succeeded Kim Il. He also served as foreign minister from 1959 to 1970.

Jang Song-thaek was a North Korean politician. He was married to Kim Kyong-hui,the only daughter of North Korean premier Kim Il Sung and his first wife Kim Jong-suk,and only sister of North Korean general secretary Kim Jong Il. He was therefore the uncle of the current leader of North Korea,Kim Jong Un.
Parliamentary elections were held in North Korea on 8 March 2009 to elect the members of the 12th Supreme People's Assembly. They were originally scheduled to be held in August 2008 but were postponed for unknown reasons. Observers of North Korea speculated that it was in relation to Kim Jong-il's ill health.

An important member of Kim Jong Il's inner circle of trusted friends and advisors,she was director of the WPK Light Industry Department from 1988 to 2012. She was married to Jang Song-thaek,who was executed in December 2013 in Pyongyang,after being charged with treason and corruption.
Kim Yong Ju was a North Korean politician and the younger brother of Kim Il Sung,who ruled North Korea from 1948 to 1994. Under his brother's rule,Kim Yong Ju held key posts including Politburo member in the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) during the 1960s and early 1970s,but he fell out of favour in 1974 following a power struggle with Kim Jong Il. From 1998 until his death in 2021,he held the ceremonial position of Honorary Vice President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA),North Korea's parliament.
The death of Kim Jong Il was reported by North Korean state television news on 19 December 2011. The presenter Ri Chun-hee announced that he had died on 17 December at 8:30 am of a massive heart attack while travelling by train to an area outside Pyongyang. Reportedly,he had received medical treatment for cardiac and cerebrovascular diseases,and during the trip,Kim was said to have had an "advanced acute myocardial infarction,complicated with a serious heart shock". However,it was reported in December 2012 by South Korean media that the heart attack had instead occurred in a fit of rage over construction faults in a crucial power plant project at Huichon in Chagang Province.
Kim Il Sung died of a sudden heart attack on the early morning of 8 July 1994 at age 82. North Korea's government did not report the death for more than 34 hours after it occurred. An official mourning period was declared from 8–17 July,during which the national flag was flown at half mast throughout the country,and all forms of amusement and dancing were prohibited.
In North Korea,the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK),or simply the Politburo,formerly the Political Committee (1946–61),is the highest decision-making body in the ruling party between sessions of its Central Committee. Article 25 of the Party Charter stipulates that "The Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee and its Standing Committee organize and direct all party work on behalf of the party Central Committee between plenary meetings. The Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee shall meet at least once every month." The Politburo is elected by the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

He was at the forefront of the North Korean munitions industry,the country's economic base. In old age Kim was no longer considered a major player in North Korean politics,having retired from most of his important posts.
Ro Song-sil is a North Korean politician. She has served as the chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union (KDWU) and as a member of the 6th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. She was a delegate to the 12th Supreme People's Assembly and a member of the Presidium.
The Organization and Guidance Department (OGD),created in 1946,is a department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK),the ruling party of North Korea. Its central responsibility is to implement the directives and teachings of the Suryeongs [Great Leaders],Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. The department was initially a department within the WPK General Affairs Department,but eventually spun off and was established at the 3rd Plenary Session of the 2nd Central Committee as the Organization Committee.

The Kapsan Faction Incident (Korean: 갑산파) was an unsuccessful attempt to undermine the power of Kim Il Sung,the leader of North Korea,around the year 1967. The "Kapsan faction" was a group of veterans of the anti-Japanese struggle of the 1930s and 1940s that was initially close to Kim Il Sung. In the wake of the 2nd Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) in 1966,the faction sought to introduce economic reforms,challenge Kim Il-sung's cult of personality,and appoint its ringleader Pak Kum-chol as his successor.
Hwang Sun-hui was a North Korean politician who served in several high-ranking positions in the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK),including in the Supreme People's Assembly and the Central Committee of the WPK. She was affiliated with the Korean Revolution Museum from 1965,and was its director from 1990.
Ri Il-hwan is a North Korean politician,a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). He is currently the director of the Propaganda and Agitation Department (PAD) of the party.
The 3rd Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea was held in Pyongyang on September 28,2010. The meeting elected the highest authority of the Workers' Party of Korea,and revised the party charter. North Korean leader Kim Jong Il also attended the meeting. A plenary meeting of the Central Auditing Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the September 2010 plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea were held earlier on the same day.
