Janice Alatoa (born October 30, 1988, in Port Vila) is a Vanuatuan sprinter. [1] She competed in the 100 metres competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics; she ran the preliminaries in 13.60 seconds, which did not qualify her for Round 1. [2]
Alatoa began training in athletics at thirteen years old, originally coached by her father. Her father was also a former athlete before becoming a coach. She also played for the Vanuatu women's national football team. [3]
She continued to compete for Vanuatu in the years following the Olympics. [4] She won bronze medals in the 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2013 Pacific Mini Games and the long jump at the 2018 Melanesian Athletics Championships. [5]
