Jari Tervo (born 2 February 1959) is a Finnish author. He is a major name in Finnish literature. [1]

Writing

Tervo writes traditional plot-driven prose, ranging from humorous (Poliisin poika) to a detective story (Myyrä). His works often include autobiographical elements; for example, Kallellaan is a diary, and Minun sukuni tarina has a protagonist who is the author himself, all but in name.[ citation needed ] Despite his renown in Finland, only one of his novels has been translated into English: Pyhiesi Yhteyteen, translated as Among the Saints in 2014.

He was given the Veijo Meri Award in 2018. [2]

Tervo was published by WSOY until 2016, but followed his editor, Harri Haanpää  [ fi ], to Otava. [1]

Television

Tervo was a team captain on Finnish TV's version of Have I Got News For You , Uutisvuoto , [1] from the beginning of the show in 1998 until 2017.

Akun tehdas is the third studio album by Finnish rock band Eppu Normaali. It was released on 19 February 1980. On the album, the band switched from their punk rock style, seen in previous albums, to new wave. Mikko Saarela was not Eppu Normaali's bassist on the album, but he still wrote lyrics for it. Akun tehdas was the first album to include Mikko "Vaari" Nevalainen on bass.

Taavi Vartia has since 1990 planned, directed and produced programmes for all of Finland's national television channels: YLE TV1, YLE TV2, MTV3 and Nelonen, across a range of genres including drama, entertainment, music, profiles and documentaries. Marje Katalin "Kati" Kovács is a Finnish comics artist. She has released albums in Finnish, Swedish, German, French and Hungarian. Kovács has won several series prizes, including the 1998 Urhunden Prizes for the 1997 best-selling album. Since 1986 she is living in Rome, Italy.
