Jasjeet Kaur Handa (born 20 December 1987, Shahabad Markanda, Haryana) is an Indian former field hockey player, who represented the India women's national field hockey team. She hails from Haryana and was part of the team that won the gold at the 2004 Women's Hockey Asia Cup.

In 2007, Jasjeet Kaur and Subhadra Pradhan became the first Indian women to play for a European club, when they played for the Dutch club HC Den Bosch in 2007. [1] [2]

She was given the Arjuna award in 2010.

Sardara Singh, sometimes referred as Sardar Singh, is an Indian field hockey coach and former field hockey player. He also served as the captain of the Indian national team. He usually plays the center half position. Sardara became the youngest player to captain the Indian team when he led the side at the 2008 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup. He was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India, in 2015. On 13 July 2016, the responsibilities of the captain were handed over from him to P. R. Sreejesh, the goalkeeper of Indian Team. On 12 September 2018, Sardara announced his retirement from international hockey. He played 314 matches during 12 years in his career.

Women's field hockey at the 2006 Commonwealth Games took place between 16 March and 25 March. The competition consisted of a round robin stage of two groups of five with the winners and runners-up of each group qualifying for the semifinals. All matches were played at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in the Parkville area of Melbourne.

The women's field hockey at the 2010 Asian Games was held in Guangzhou from 13 November to 24 November 2010 at the Aoti Hockey Field.

Women's field hockey at the 2006 Asian Games was held in Al-Rayyan Hockey Field, Doha from December 2 to December 13, 2006.

Navjot Kaur is an Indian field hockey player. She is part of the Indian Women's Hockey team in the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Ajinder Kaur is an Indian field hockey player and a former member of Indian women's hockey team. She hails from Punjab. She played for India and for Punjab and Sisters Hockey Eleven Club in the local tournaments. She plays as a defender. She got the Arjuna Award in 1974.
