The Basingstoke Bison are an English Ice Hockey club from Basingstoke. They currently compete in the NIHL National League and have previously been members of the Ice Hockey Superleague and its successor the Elite Ice Hockey League.
Herbert Martin Gardiner was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played for the Calgary Tigers of the Western Canada Hockey League (WCHL) and the Montreal Canadiens and Chicago Black Hawks of the National Hockey League (NHL) between 1920 and 1929. Additionally, he was the head coach of the Black Hawks for part of the 1928–29 season. Gardiner was a member of the WCHL champion Tigers in 1924 and in 1927 won the Hart Trophy as the NHL's most valuable player after playing every minute of every game for the Canadiens. He coached several minor professional teams in Philadelphia following his retirement as a player. Gardiner was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1958.
The Chelmsford Chieftains are an Ice Hockey team based in Chelmsford, Essex that are currently playing in the NIHL South Division 1. Since the team was founded in 1987, the Chieftains have played their home games at the Riverside Ice and Leisure Centre.
Travis Vernon Green is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former professional ice hockey player. He is the former head coach of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He also previously coached the American Hockey League's Utica Comets, Vancouver's top minor league affiliate. Drafted 23rd overall in 1989, Green played for five different National Hockey League (NHL) teams in his 14-year career.
Bengt-Åke Gustafsson is a Swedish ice hockey coach and former ice hockey player. Gustafsson is a former head coach of the Sweden men's national ice hockey team, a post he held from February 2005 to May 2010.
Jeff Tambellini is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger and current Director of Player Development for the Seattle Kraken of the NHL. Originally selected 27th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, he joined the National Hockey League in 2005. During his rookie season, he was traded to the New York Islanders. He split his first three professional seasons between the NHL and his clubs' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliates, the Manchester Monarchs and Bridgeport Sound Tigers. In July 2010, Tambellini signed with the Vancouver Canucks and spent a season with the organization.
Jeremy Colliton is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is currently serving as head coach of the Abbotsford Canucks of the American Hockey League (AHL). Colliton is a former head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played in the NHL for the New York Islanders.
Edwin James Lowrey was a Canadian ice hockey centre. Lowrey played for Ottawa Senators, Toronto Ontarios, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Blueshirts, Hamilton Tigers and the Regina Capitals. Lowrey later became the coach of the University of Michigan ice hockey team.
Kurt Kleinendorst is an American professional ice hockey coach. Since January 2022, he is head coach of the Iserlohn Roosters from the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Kleinendorst played four seasons at Providence College and was inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997.
Timothy John Bothwell is a retired professional ice hockey defenseman who played 502 games in the National Hockey League. He played for the New York Rangers, St. Louis Blues, and Hartford Whalers, and several AHL teams. Before his professional career, he played at Brown, where he was a three-time all-Ivy League defenseman, member of the Bruins' 1975-76 NCAA semi-finalists, and captain of the team the next two seasons. Tim was inducted into the Brown University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1984. He retired from playing hockey in 1990.

Colten Teubert is a Canadian-German former professional ice hockey defenceman and current head coach of the Hampton Roads Whalers USPHL Elite team. He most notably played for the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League (NHL) before moving to Europe in playing for the Iserlohn Roosters and the Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the first round, 13th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to turning professional, he played in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Regina Pats, who drafted him first overall in the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft.
The Bristol Pitbulls are an ice hockey team representing Bristol, England, currently playing in the NIHL National League. Following the closure of the Bristol ice rink in 2012, their home ice moved to Oxford Ice Rink. In October 2021, the team returned to Bristol, winning their first fixture on their new home ice at the Planet Ice rink at Cribbs Causeway.

Ron Berteling is a Dutch retired ice hockey player and coach. He represented the Netherlands ice hockey at the 1980 Winter Olympics, and served as captain of the Netherlands men's national ice hockey team from 1982 to 1993. He appeared in 14 Ice Hockey World Championships, and holds the record of 213 games played for the national team. He played in 26 seasons of the Eredivisie, competing the Netherlands' top league for the Amsterdam Tigers and the Rotterdam Panda's. He was named the league's most valuable player for the 1987–88 season, won four Eredivisie titles, five Dutch Cups as a player and a sixth as a coach. He received the Order of Orange-Nassau in 1994, was made the namesake of the Ron Berteling Schaal in 2007, and received the Torriani Award from the International Ice Hockey Federation in 2020.
