Jason Michael Wade is an American musician, best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the alternative rock band Lifehouse. [1] [2] [3]

Career

Lifehouse

At the age of 15, Wade co-founded Lifehouse (originally called Blyss) with neighbors Sergio Andrade and Rick Woolstenhulme. [4] [3] The band rose to fame when their debut album, No Name Face , was released in 2000. [5] As of 2019, Lifehouse has sold more than 15 million singles and albums worldwide. [6]

Solo work

Wade recorded a cover of "You Belong to Me" for the 2001 movie Shrek and its accompanying soundtrack. [7]

He released a solo album entitled Paper Cuts in 2017. [8] His followup LP, Ode to Silence , was released December 31, 2021.

ØZWALD

In 2018, Wade formed a band called ØZWALD with Lifehouse touring guitarist Steve Stout as a side project. The duo have released numerous singles, an EP of covers, and six full-length albums: Sweet Delirium, Born in a State, Head Movies, For Polly Anna, Young Suburban Minds, and Artificial Odyssey. [9]

Personal life

Wade's parents are divorced. After the divorce, he and his mother moved to Seattle. [10] According to Wade, he used the Lifehouse song "You and Me" to propose to his then-girlfriend, Braeden, whom he married in 2001. [11]

Jude Anthony Cole is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and talent manager from Carbon Cliff, Illinois. He began his career as part of Moon Martin's backing group the Ravens, and joined the English power pop band the Records in 1980, by the age of 19. After his work on their album Crashes (1980), he signed with Reprise Records to pursue a solo recording career and released his eponymous debut studio album (1987), which was followed by four subsequent releases—A View from 3rd Street (1990), Start the Car (1992), I Don't Know Why I Act This Way (1995), and Falling Home (2000). Afterward, he outsourced his work onto management, production, and songwriting for the alternative rock band Lifehouse. Cole was credited on most of their singles throughout the 2000s, including "You and Me," "First Time," "Whatever It Takes" and "Halfway Gone" — each became hit songs on the Billboard Hot 100, Mainstream Top 40, Adult Top 40, and Adult Contemporary charts.
