Jasurbek Jaysunov (born 19 April 2002) is an Uzbek taekwondo practitioner. He was a bronze medalist at the 2022 Asian Games and qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games.

Career

He was a bronze medalist at the delayed 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games in the 74 kg division in Konya, Turkey in August 2022. [2] At the 2022 Asian Taekwondo Championships he won gold in the 74 kg category in Chuncheon, South Korea. [3] [4]

He was a bronze medalist at the 2022 Asian Games in the mixed team event. [5] He won a silver medal in the 2023 World Cup Taekwondo Team Championships. [6]

He was a gold medalist in the -80 kg category at the 2024 Asian Taekwondo Championships in Vietnam. [7] He entered the 2024 Asian Taekwondo Olympic Qualification Tournament and earned a place at the upcoming Olympic Games. He was selected for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. [8] [9] He competed in the men's 80 kg event at the Olympics.
