The 2022 Asian Taekwondo Championships were the 25th edition of the Asian Taekwondo Championships, and were held from 24 to 27 June 2022 in Hoban Gymnasium, Chuncheon, South Korea. [1]

The Asian Taekwondo Championships are the Asian senior championships in Taekwondo, first held in South Korea in 1973. The event is held every two years and is organized by the Asian Taekwondo Union, the continental affiliate of World Taekwondo, which organises and controls Olympic style taekwondo.

Ng Ming Wei is a Singaporean taekwondo athlete and internet personality. He won a Kyorugi gold medal in the 2017 Commonwealth Taekwondo Championships Men's -58 kg, becoming the first Singaporean to do so. He also won a bronze medal in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games Men's Under 54 kg.

Svetlana Osipova is an Uzbekistani taekwondo athlete and a member of the Uzbekistan national team. In 2017, she won a silver medal at the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. In 2018 and 2023, she earned bronze medals at the Summer Asian Games. In 2019, she secured a gold medal at the World Military Games. In 2022, she won a gold medal at the World Taekwondo Championship, and in 2023, she claimed a silver medal.

Dejan Georgievski is a Macedonian professional taekwondo practitioner who represents North Macedonia internationally in the World Taekwondo Tournaments in the men's heavyweight class. He is an Olympic silver medalist in the men's +80 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 World Taekwondo Championships</span> Taekwondo competition

The 2022 World Taekwondo Championships was the 25th edition of the World Taekwondo Championships and was held at the Centro Acuático CODE Metropolitano, in Guadalajara, Mexico from 13 to 20 November 2022. It was at first scheduled to be held in Wuxi, China in 2021, but withdrawn due to the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic to get the 2025 edition. In January 2022, the event was first moved to Cancún, Mexico. This was the second time after 2013, that Mexico has held the event.
