Jay Gordon (born January 30, 1967) is an American singer. He is best known as the lead singer and original member of the rock band Orgy, which he founded in 1990.
Orgy's first release, 1998's Candyass , would prove to be a huge success and earned a platinum certification in sales, which was primarily fueled by the popularity of their cover of New Order's "Blue Monday", as well as that of their first single, "Stitches". The band would release singles of both during this period, which would contain numerous remixes of the songs, some of which were created by Gordon himself, a trend which would continue to occur throughout all of Orgy's subsequent single releases.
In 2000, Orgy released their second full-length album, Vapor Transmission , which, despite gaining a quite respectable sales performance, did not repeat the wild success of its predecessor.
The period following the release of Vapor Transmission proved to be a tumultuous period for the band. Orgy left Elementree and Reprise Records. Drummer Bobby Hewitt left the band in order to join his brother Fab Fernandez in the group Snake River Conspiracy, although he would eventually return. It would be four years between the release of Vapor Transmission and Orgy's third album, 2004's Punk Statik Paranoia .
In 2002, Gordon performed the song "Slept So Long" for the Queen of the Damned soundtrack, due to contractual limitations which restricted composer Jonathan Davis from performing the vocals to his composed songs as they appeared upon the actual soundtrack (although Davis did, in fact, perform all musical tracks within the movie itself). Gordon has also appeared with his band Orgy on other soundtracks such as Zoolander , which featured the previously unreleased song "Faces".
Gordon remixed "Points of Authority", a song by Linkin Park from their album Hybrid Theory , for the latter's remix album Reanimation . This was entitled "Pts.OF.Athrty", which was released as the first and only single of Reanimation, and has achieved moderate success at the Billboard charts.
In 2004, he voiced several characters for the video game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines . [2]
Around 2004, Gordon would collaborate with Kinya Sawaguchi and members of TEAM Entertainment from Japan to work on an American rock and metal styled image album for the Daisuke Ishiwatari anime styled and rock inspired fighting game Guilty Gear XX . With only a week open, Gordon would serve as the supervisor and mixing engineer at his recording studio in Los Angeles, and hired burgeoning talent throughout L.A.'s rock and roll scene at the time to work on the album. Released on May 19, 2004, in Japan, the album would be known as Guilty Gear XX In L.A. Vocal Edition, remixing select songs with vocal renditions to capture the sound of the SoCal and West Coast American rock and metal scene with Ishiwatari's composition work and Guilty Gear's signature multi genre thrash and metal soundtrack.
In October 2010, members of Orgy collectively brought accusations against Gordon of having "fired the band". In response, Gordon released a public statement denying the claims. [3] Orgy released a new single titled "Wide Awake and Dead" on March 18, 2014, and shot a video for "Wide Awake and Dead" on April 22. Orgy released the first of two EPs in 2015, titled Talk Sick, and an unnamed EP that was released in 2016.

Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome. Industrial rock became more prominent in the 1980s with the success of artists such as Killing Joke, Swans, and partially Skinny Puppy, and later spawned the offshoot genre known as industrial metal. The genre was made more accessible to mainstream audiences in the 1990s with the aid of acts such as Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, both of which have released platinum-selling records.
Orgy is an American industrial rock band formed in 1997, from Los Angeles, California. They have described their music as "death pop". The band is best known for their cover version of the New Order song "Blue Monday", and the song "Stitches", both from their 1998 album Candyass.
Reanimation is the first remix album by American rock band Linkin Park, released on July 30, 2002, through Warner Bros. Records, as a follow-up to their 2000 debut studio album, Hybrid Theory. Recorded during the Hybrid Theory tour, it features remixes of songs from Hybrid Theory, including the album's bonus tracks. It was produced by Mike Shinoda and mixed by Mark "Spike" Stent. It is the fourth best selling remix album of all time.

Daisuke Ishiwatari is a Japanese video game developer, illustrator, musician, composer, voice actor He is best known for creating the 2D fighting game series Guilty Gear. He designed the characters and storyline, and wrote the music. He also provides the in-game voice for the characters Sol Badguy and Order-Sol, as well as Freed Velez in Battle Fantasia.
Amir Davidson, professionally known as Amir Derakh, is an American musician and record producer. He is currently the guitarist and the synthesizer player for the band Julien-K, and was the guitarist for the band Dead by Sunrise. He was the g-synth player in the rock band Orgy, and has also played guitar in the bands Rough Cutt and Jailhouse.
Ryan Shuck is an American musician and co-founder of industrial rock band Orgy and electronic rock band Julien-K. He was the guitarist and backing vocalist of Dead by Sunrise, the alternative rock side project of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. He was also the lead singer of the rock band Adema from 2019 to 2024. Initially in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Shuck played in the Bakersfield-based rock band Sexart alongside future Korn lead singer Jonathan Davis and future Adema bassist Dave DeRoo.
Julien-K is an American electronic rock band based in Long Beach, California, that began as a side project for electronic music created by Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck from Orgy, alongside Anthony 'Fu' Valcic.
"Swamped" is a song by the Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil. It was released as the second and final single from their third studio album Comalies. The song features a male and female vocal track, guitar-playing and orchestral string backing. The song is featured in the video game Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, and the movie Resident Evil: Apocalypse as part of the soundtrack. "Swamped" is available as a downloadable song for Rock Band. A music video was produced for the song.

"Points of Authority" is a song by American rock band Linkin Park. It is the fourth track on their first studio album, Hybrid Theory. The song was released in 2001 as a promo release. A CD single for the song was set to be released in the UK in September 2001, but instead, "Papercut" was released as the third single from the album. It was later planned as the fifth official single from the album, planned for a January 2002 release but was cancelled for unknown reasons. In its place, the song's remix version was released. Mike Shinoda's verses originally had different lyrics, and Chester Bennington's parts became no different from the Hybrid Theory version.
Queen of the Damned: Music from the Motion Picture is the official soundtrack for the 2002 vampire film Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice novel of the same name. It released on February 19, 2002 via Warner Music Group and was produced by Richard Gibbs and Jonathan Davis of American nu metal band Korn. Frank Fitzpatrick and Rich Dickerson served as the music supervisors for the album.
"Runaway" is a song by Linkin Park. It is the sixth track from their debut album, Hybrid Theory. The song was also remixed for their first remix album Reanimation, titled "Rnw@y". The song was written by the band and Mark Wakefield. A 1998 demo of the song, titled as "Stick and Move", was released on the band's ninth Linkin Park Underground extended play LP Underground 9.0. It is one of three songs on Hybrid Theory to have been written by the band's original lead vocalist, Mark Wakefield.
Electric Love Hogs were a short-lived American funk rock band formed in San Diego, California in 1991. The Dead Matter: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack was both the twelfth album, and second movie soundtrack by the band, Midnight Syndicate, released July 30, 2010. The album features the original score to the supernatural horror film, The Dead Matter (2010), composed by Edward Douglas, as well as other gothic rock and heavy metal songs from the film. The album also contained several remixes of previously released Midnight Syndicate material including one performed by related act, Destini Beard.

Rik Schaffer is an American composer and musician. He formed Womb Music in 1996 after being in the music industry as a member of several acts such as Tomorrow's Child and Engines of Aggression. He often works with his partner Margaret Tang.
