Jayne Mansfield was born at St Paul’s University Hospital in Dallas. [1]
Two weeks before her mother's death on June 29, 1967, Jayne Marie, then 16, claimed that she had been beaten by her mother's then-boyfriend, Sam Brody. [2] Her statement to the Los Angeles Police Department the following morning implicated her mother in encouraging the abuse, and days later, a juvenile-court judge awarded temporary custody of Jayne Marie to a great-uncle, W.W. Pigue. [3] [4] Out of Jayne's five [5] children, only Jayne Marie attended her mother's funeral on July 3, 1967, because the other children were all under the age of 10.
In 1968, wrongful death lawsuits were filed on behalf of Jayne Marie and Matt Cimber (Jayne's husband from September 24, 1964, to July 11, 1965, and producer-director of her last film Single Room Furnished), the former for $4.8 million and the latter for $2.7 million. [6]
In 1970, she married Barry Lang in Las Vegas, Nevada; the couple had one son but were later divorced. In March 1979, she declared her plan to write a biography of her mother. [7]

He is known for directing genre films including The Candy Tangerine Man, The Witch Who Came from the Sea,Hundra, and the controversial drama Butterfly. Cimber has been called "an unsung hero of 70s exploitation cinema." He was co-founder and director of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW) professional wrestling promotion and syndicated television series. Cimber was also the last husband of actress Jayne Mansfield, directing her on stage and in the film Single Room Furnished (1968), which was released after her death.

Because of the costume she came to be known as "the girl in the leopard bikini" at times. Throughout the 1950s, she and her husband Mickey Hargitay posed for photos with her in the leopard spot bikini. The couple wore matching leopard spots to announce their closeness, and the costume won them a prize at a Hollywood costume party. Mansfield often walked down the Hollywood Boulevard in the leopard bikini signing autographs, once went shopping in the leopard bikini, and attended parties in it.
Jayne Mansfield Busts Up Las Vegas is a novelty album featuring actress, model, singer and Playmate Jayne Mansfield published in 1962 by 20th Century Fox. It was a recording of her show "The House of Love" in Dunes Hotel and Casino.
