Jeff Dodson is an American former college baseball coach. He served the head coach of the University of North Dakota baseball program from 2009 until it was discontinued after the 2016 season. [1] [2] [3]

Playing career

Dodson played two seasons at Bevill State Community College, earning an associate degree in 1989. He then played at Livingston University—now known as the University of West Alabama—completing his bachelor's degree in 1993. [1] [3]

Coaching career

In 1995, Dodson returned to Bevill State as head coach, a position he held for two seasons. He compiled a record of 31–77. In 1997, he moved to Martin Methodist College as head coach. In seven seasons, he led the RedHawks to a 190–144 record and placed four players into the professional ranks. In 2004, he moved to Southeast Missouri State as an assistant coach. He served as recruiting coordinator and pitching coach for five seasons. After the 2008 season, Dodson was named head coach at North Dakota, managing the transition to Division I. He led the program into the Great West Conference and later the Western Athletic Conference. [1] [2]

The Bison play in the 19,000 seat Fargodome located in Fargo. The Bison have won fifteen national championships and 35 conference championships. They won five-consecutive NCAA Division I FCS National Championships between 2011 and 2015 as well as two more in 2017 and 2018. NDSU is the only college football program to ever win five consecutive NCAA national championships, and the only football program to win seven FCS titles.

North Dakota Fighting Hawks baseball

The North Dakota Fighting Hawks baseball team was a part of the athletic program at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The team was a member of the NCAA Division I Western Athletic Conference. It played at Harold Kraft Memorial Field. The last head coach was Jeff Dodson. The public address announcer for the baseball team was Kris Holm.

South Dakota State Jackrabbits football

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits football team is a Football Championship Subdivision program that competes in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Considered to be among the few perennial powers in the FCS, The Jackrabbits were a NCAA Division II program in the North Central Conference until moving to the Football Championship Subdivision in 2004. The current head coach is John Stiegelmeier. In March 2007, SDSU initially began their Division I FCS era by being a charter member of the now-defunct Great West Football Conference and stayed there until 2007 when they were accepted into the Missouri Valley Football Conference and began league play in the 2008 season. South Dakota State University has invested in their football program's facilities recently as they have some of the finest amenities and facilities at the FCS level including the largest video/scoreboard in the FCS (2015) a new 19,340 seat stadium (2016), and a large state-of-the-art student athlete center in the north end zone (2010). Connected to the student athlete center is one of the largest indoor practice facilities in NCAA Division I. SDSU football and the Dakota Marker game was featured on ESPN’s nationally televised College GameDay on October 26th, 2019 becoming one of only a few FCS programs to be featured on the show.

Randolph R. Hedberg is an American football coach and a former player, currently the quarterbacks coach at North Dakota State University in Fargo. Hedberg played as a quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL in 1977. He was the head coach at Minot State University, his alma mater, from 1982 to 1989, and at St. Cloud State University from 1999 to 2007, compiling a career college football record of 92–74–2.

The 2013 NCAA Division I FCS football season, part of college football in the United States, was organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level. The season began on August 29, 2013, and concluded with the 2014 NCAA Division I Football Championship Game on January 4, 2014, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

2013 North Dakota State Bison football team

The 2013 North Dakota State Bison football team represented North Dakota State University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by head coach Craig Bohl, in his 11th and ultimately final season, as he left to become the head coach at Wyoming after the season. The team, which played their 21st season in the Fargodome, entered the season as the two-time defending national champions. The Bison have been members of the Missouri Valley Football Conference since the 2008 season.

Michael Glenn Houston is an American college football coach, currently serving as head coach of the East Carolina University football team. He was previously the head coach at James Madison University where he guided JMU to the 2016 NCAA Division I FCS football season championship defeating Youngstown State.

Tom Billeter is an American college basketball coach, currently the head coach at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
