Jenna Hastings (born 10 May 2004) is a New Zealand mountain biker competing in downhill and enduro. She is the current junior women's downhill world champion.
Hastings is from Rotorua where she attended John Paul College. [2] At the secondary school’s mountain bike championships in October 2020 in Wellington, she won in both the enduro and downhill. [2] Aged 15, she won the open-age 2019/2020 Giant 2W Gravity Enduro series with two wins and one second place. [3] At the February 2021 DH National Championships held at the Christchurch Adventure Park, she secured the national title in the woman's junior (U19) category, [4] [5] with a time beaten only by the open woman's champion. [6]
In November 2021, she won the UCI-sanctioned and open-age Crankworx Rotorua downhill competition. [7] [8] As the overall woman's winner of the Crankworx New Zealand series (four races in Alexandra, Queenstown, Cardrona, and Wānaka), [9] she secured a contract with Pivot Factory Racing to race the 2022 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in the junior elite women's downhill category. In the 2022 season, she rode her inaugural junior women's (under-23 [11] ) world cup race aged 17 in March in Lourdes, France, and came sixth. [12] Two months later at her second world cup race in the Scottish Fort William, Hastings came fourth. [13] Three weeks later at the next world cup race in the Austrian municipality Leogang, Hastings came in second place. [14] A week later, she competed at Crankworx Innsbruck; she lost time through a fall and came in eleventh place riding in the elite women's category. [15] In July at her fourth world cup race in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, she came third. [16] A week later at her fifth world cup race in Vallnord, Andorra, she again came third. [11] [17] The German mountain-bike online magazine MTB News commented after Vallnord that "Jenna Hastings has firmly established herself at the top of the junior field" (Jenna Hastings hat sich an der Spitze des Juniorinnen-Feldes fest etabliert). [18] At the fifth world cup race on 30 July 2022 in Snowshoe, West Virginia, USA, Hastings came fourth. [19] At the 2022 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, she took the world championship title in junior downhill. [20]
Hastings suffered a broken ankle [21] early in the 2024 season. In July she won the RockShox Canadian Open DH [22] in Whistler, Canada.
Greg Minnaar is a South African World Champion mountain bike racer competing in downhill cycling. He has won four world championships, the second most amongst still active racers, and third all time behind Nicolas Vouilloz's seven titles. He currently competes in the UCI Downhill MTB World Cup. Minnaar has the most men's world cup wins, with 23 career victories. He rode with the Santa Cruz Syndicate team until the end of the 2023 season.
Bryn Atkinson is an Australian professional mountain bike racing cyclist from Townsville, QLD. He started mountain biking in 1996 and became a professional in 2002. Bryn's first introduction to the sport was through his local mountain bike club in Townsville- The Townsville Rockwheelers. Competing in several cross country type events, Bryn evolved with the sport and later found downhill. As a teenager, he moved north to Cairns, a popular location for downhill mountain biking, and host of the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in 1996. Glen Jacobs was the course builder for that event and several other events on the World Cup, and mentored Bryn and several other downhillers in the area.
Rachel Laura Atherton is a British professional downhill mountain bike racer, and is a multiple time UCI World Champion.
Tracy Marie Moseley is a British professional racing cyclist who was born in Worcester, specialising in downhill mountain bike racing. Moseley's brother, Ed, was also a mountain biker, it was after he began riding cross country mountain bike races that a race was held on their farm in 1992; this was Tracy's first competition. Her first foray into downhilling came in 1994. Moseley's first international race was the World Championships in 1995 where she finished 8th. The following year she was funded by the Jason McRoy fund, to ride a French National event at Les Menuires. Moseley continued to race with increasing success, and despite sitting her exams late due to her racing schedule, graduated with a 2:1 degree in Biological Sciences in 2000.
Aaron Holmes Gwin is an American professional downhill mountain biker from Morongo Valley, California. He is a five-time World Cup overall champion.
The Santa Cruz Syndicate, is a professional mountain bike racing team sponsored by Santa Cruz Bicycles, competing in the World Cup and World Championships, as well as national level events, in the downhill category. The Syndicate was founded in 2006.
Atherton Racing, competing officially as Trek Factory Racing, formerly as GT Factory Racing, is a professional mountain bike racing team competing in the World Cup and World Champs, as well as national level events, in the downhill category. The team began as Animal Commençal.
Danny Hart is a British downhill mountain biker who currently rides for Cube Factory Racing. He won the 2011 and 2016 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships.

Tracey Hannah is a professional downhill bike rider. She raced her first national BMX title when she was 4 years old. Tracey chose to do MTB when she saw Mick Hannah was racing down a hill very fast on an MTB camp in 1997.
The 2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup was a series of races in Olympic Cross-Country (XCO), Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE), and Downhill (DHI). Each discipline had an Elite Men and an Elite Women category. There were also men's and women's under-23 categories in the XCO and junior men's and women's categories in the DHI. The cross-country series had six rounds and the downhill series had seven rounds.
Finn Iles is a Canadian mountain bike racer competing in downhill cycling. He currently competes in the Mountain Bike World Cup points series races, in the Elite Downhill event.
Camille Balanche is a Swiss cyclist. In 2020, she won the women's downhill race at the UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships held in Leogang, Austria. She is the first Swiss rider to win a Downhill world title.
Valentina "Vali" Höll is an Austrian cyclist who competes in downhill mountain biking.
Rémi Thirion is a French downhill mountain biker. In 2020, he finished third in the UCI Downhill World Championships in Leogang, Austria.
Amaury Pierron is a French downhill mountain biker. In 2019, he finished third in the UCI Downhill World Championships in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada. He also won three rounds and the overall classification of the 2018 UCI Downhill World Cup. In the 2019 edition, he again won three rounds but finished second overall to Loïc Bruni. His older brother Baptiste and his younger brother Antoine also compete in downhill racing.
Thibaut Dapréla is a French downhill mountain biker. He finished second overall in the 2021 UCI Downhill World Cup and won the round in Les Gets.
