Jennifer Alanyo is a Ugandan physician , military officer and Legislator. She represents the Uganda people's defence forces (UPDF) in the parliament of Uganda. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Background and Education

Alanyo is a medical doctor by profession, she is also a UPDF military officer at the rank of Major. [6]

She is among the high profile medical personnel in UPDF where she heads the medical team, that among others supervises UPDF recruitment processes in order to recruit healthy soldiers. [7] [8]

Career

She was voted into parliament to represent the Uganda People's Defense Forces (UPDF) in 2021 on recommendation from the military council and subsequent voting by military personnel. [2] [9] [10] [11] [12]

She is among the three (3) female representatives of UPDF in parliament, the others include, Charity Bainababo and Victor Nekesa. [2] [13] [14]

In parliament, she serves on the committee of science, technology and innovation. [15]

General David Sejusa is a Ugandan lawyer, military officer and politician. He was the coordinator of intelligence services and a senior presidential adviser to President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni. He served as army commander and also a member of High Command UPDF, the UPDF defense council and a member of parliament representing the Uganda People's Defence Force. He had a falling out with Museveni and formed the Freedom and Unity Front in exile in the United Kingdom following being charged for plotting a coup where he has been allegedly planning anti-government activities by the Museveni government.

Charles Angina is a lieutenant general in the Uganda People's Defense Force (UPDF). As of August 2021, he is awaiting assignment at the Uganda Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Leopold Eric Kyanda, is a Major General in the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF). Effective 24 June 2021, he serves as the Joint Chief of Staff of the UPDF. He replaced Lieutenant General Joseph Musanyufu who was redeployed to the civil service.

James Mugira is a lieutenant general in the Ugandan army. He is the managing director and chief executive officer of the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), the business arm of the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF). He was appointed to that position in April 2015. He concurrently serves as the managing director of Luweero Defence Industries Limited, the small-arms manufacturer owned by the UPDF. He has served in that capacity since 2011. From 2008 until 2011, at the rank of brigadier, he served as the director general of the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence, a division of the UPDF. Before that, he served as the commanding officer of the UPDF Armored Brigade, based in Masaka.

General Joram Mugume, is a military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). He is the chairman of the board of directors of the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), the business arm of the UPDF. He was appointed to that position by the Uganda Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs, on 20 February 2018. He has also served as the chairman of the "Military Land Board", another organ of the UPDF. He has been serving in that position since 2005, having served as Deputy Chief of Defense Forces in the past.

Major General Gavas Mugyenyi, also Garvas Mugyenyi is a senior military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). He serves as Uganda's military attache to India, effective January 2020.

Major General Steven Sabiiti Muzeyi, is a Ugandan military officer and police officer, who served as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) of the Uganda Police Force, the second-highest rank in that branch of the Ugandan government, from 4 March 2018 until 16 December 2020. He replaced Martin Okoth Ochola, who was promoted to Inspector General of Police. Immediately prior to his assignment as Deputy IGP, Sabiiti, at the rank of brigadier, served as the Commander of the Military Police of the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF). Sabiiti was replaced as Deputy IGP by Major General Paul Lokech. On Friday, 5 February 2021, Major Genenral Sabiiti Muzeyi was appointed General Manager Luwero Industries, a subsidiary of National Enterprise Corporation (NEC).

Brigadier Michael Nyarwa, is a Ugandan military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). Effective 2009, he is the Commander of UPDF Marine Forces, a specialized division of the Ugandan military, responsible for the security, safe travel and responsible use of Uganda's waterways, including lakes and rivers.

National Defence College, Uganda is a National Security and Strategic Studies training and educational institution in Uganda.

Idah Nabayiga is a Ugandan politician and the District Woman Representative for Kalangala District in Uganda's 10th Parliament. She is also a member of the National Resistance Movement on whose ticket she ran on in the 2016 general elections.

Brigadier Charity Bainababo is a Ugandan military officer, legislator and former policewoman. She is the immediate past deputy commander of the Uganda Special Forces Command, the special military unit of the UPDF responsible for presidential and first family security. Victor Nekesa is a Ugandan physician, military officer and legislator. She represents the Uganda People's Defense Forces (UPDF) in the parliament of Uganda.

Milly Mugeni is a Ugandan politician and legislator. She is the former Woman Member of Parliament for Butaleja District in the Tenth Parliament on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket.
