Jeremy Jonathan Groome (born 7 April 1955) is a former English cricketer. Groome was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break. He was born at Aldwick,Bognor Regis,Sussex and educated at Seaford College.
In July 1974,Groome featured in a single Youth Test match for England Young Cricketers against the touring West Indies Young Cricketers. [1] Earlier in that same season,Groome made his first-class debut for Sussex against Northamptonshire in the 1974 County Championship. He made 39 further first-class appearances for the county,the last of which came against Gloucestershire in the 1978 County Championship. [2] In his 40 first-class matches for Sussex,he scored a total of 1,120 runs at an average of 15.77,with a high score of 86. [3] One of six first-class half centuries he made,this score came against Middlesex in 1975. [4] Groome made his debut in List A cricket for the county in his debut season,against Kent in the Benson &Hedges Cup. He made 43 further List A appearances for the county,the last of which came against Gloucestershire in the 1978 John Player League. [5] In his 44 List A appearances,he scored a total of 572 runs at an average of 15.45,with a high score of 72. [6]
John Bonamy Challen was a Welsh amateur sportsman who played first-class cricket and association football during the late 19th century. He played football for Corinthian F.C.,and was selected to play for Wales four times between 1887 and 1890. As a cricketer,he made over 50 first-class appearances,all for Somerset County Cricket Club. His availability in both sports was limited by his career in education;he was headmaster at a number of schools across southern England.

Harry Smyth Goodwin was a cricketer of the nineteenth century,born in Glamorgan,Wales but playing for Gloucestershire between 1896 and 1907. A right-handed batsman,Goodwin was an alumnus of Rossall School in Lancashire,for whom he played two matches in 1889. He played 31 matches for Gloucestershire,though aside from the 1897 cricket season he often played only a small number of games each year. He scored 564 runs at a batting average of 12.40,and a best of 46. He was later President of Horsham Cricket Club.
The 2020 Bob Willis Trophy was a first-class cricket tournament held in the 2020 English cricket season,and the inaugural edition of the Bob Willis Trophy. It was separate from the County Championship,which was not held in 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom. The eighteen county cricket teams were split into three regional groups of six,with the two group winners with the most points advancing to a final held at Lord's. The maximum number of overs bowled in a day was reduced from 96 to 90,and the team's first innings could be no longer than 120 overs.
The 2021 County Championship was the 121st cricket County Championship season in England and Wales. For the first phase of the tournament,the teams were split into three groups of six,with each side playing ten matches. The top two teams from each group progressed into Division One for the second phase of the competition,with the other teams progressing to Divisions Two and Three. The team that finished top of Division One became the county champions;and the top two teams from Division One contested a five-day match at Lord's for the Bob Willis Trophy. On 17 December 2020,the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed all the fixtures for the tournament. After completion of the group stage on 14 July 2021,the ECB confirmed the fixtures for the division stage on 22 July 2021.
