Flashback is the fifth studio album by Puerto Rican reggaetón recording artist Ivy Queen, released on October 4, 2005 through Univision and on September 15, 2007 as Greatest Hits in Germany and Spain. "Suavemente" is a song recorded and composed by Puerto Rican merengue singer Elvis Crespo on his first solo album, Suavemente, which followed his departure from Grupo Manía. Released as the lead single, "Suavemente" reached number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks on May 16, 1998, and remained atop the chart for six weeks. Crespo re-recorded it with Spanglish lyrics. The song also hit the Billboard Hot 100 as well as received a Premios Lo Nuestro award and two Latin Billboard Music Awards the following year. "Suavemente" was the tenth best-performing Latin single of 1998. The song has been covered by several artists, some of whom also charted.
"Quién Como Tú" is a ballad and title track written and performed by Mexican singer-songwriter Ana Gabriel. It was produced by Óscar Gómez for Gabriel's fifth studio album Quién como tú (1989). Released as the second single from the album, the song became the third number-one single for the singer in the Billboard Top Latin Songs chart in May of the same year. Live performances of the song can be found on the albums En Vivo (1990) and ...En la Plaza de Toros México (1998).
"Es Demasiado Tarde" is a song written and performed by Mexican singer-songwriter Ana Gabriel. It was released in 1990 by CBS Records and first included on the compilation album México, Voz y Sentimiento which also featured songs performed by Luis Angel, Vikki Carr, Aida Cuevas, Lorenzo de Monteclaro, Antonio De Jesús, Pedro Fernández, Hermanas Huerta, Tania Libertad, Angelica Maria, Lucía Méndez, Angeles Ochoa, Gilberto Parra, Gerardo Reyes, Cuco Sánchez, Cecilia Toussaint, Yuri and Flor Yvon. The song became Gabriel's fourth number-one single in the Billboard Top Latin Songs chart, after "Ay Amor", "Simplemente Amigos" and "Quién Como Tú". Personalidad: 20 Éxitos was the first Gabriel album to include the song. "Es Demasiado Tarde" is a song about a woman who refuses to take her lover back after the end of their relationship. Gabriel also addressed this issue in her song "Tú lo Decidiste" in 1994. The song earned the Lo Nuestro Award for Best Pop Song.
"Quiero Bailar" is a song by Puerto Rican reggaetón recording artist Ivy Queen, from the platinum edition of her third studio album, Diva (2003). It was composed by Queen alongside her then-husband Gran Omar, produced by Iván Joy and released as the lead single from the album in 2004. Lyrically, "the song talks about a guy expecting sex after a dance like it was a bad thing." Addressing the topic of female autonomy of the body, the song has become recognized as a female empowerment anthem.
"Acércate" is a song recorded by Puerto Rican reggaetón recording artist Ivy Queen and duo Wisin & Yandel for Queen's seventh studio album Drama Queen (2010). It was composed by Queen and Marcos Masis alongside the duo, while being produced by Luny Tunes and Tainy. Originally entitled "No Te Equivoques", the song was leaked onto the Internet prior to the album's release, which prompted Ivy Queen and Wisin & Yandel to re-record the song.
Eddie Alexander Ávila Ortiz, originally known by his stage name Eddie Dee, is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer and dancer of Dominican descent. He began his career in 1990 and launched his debut studio album three years later. His second album became popular in Puerto Rico and was titled Tagwut in 1997. It featured the hit single "Señor Official". His following releases El Terrorista de la Lírica (2000) and Biografía (2001), too enjoyed underground success. The 2004 album 12 Discípulos is regarded as "the greatest reggaetón various artist album of all time". The album features songs by some of the most successful reggaetón artist, including the intro of the album, where they all come together as one to show that "unity is needed for the genre reggaetón to survive and evolve". It was a collaboration between eleven other artist including Daddy Yankee, Tego Calderon, Ivy Queen, and Vico C among others, who were among the most requested at the time. The track, known as "Los 12 Discípulos" or "Quítate Tu Pa' Ponerme Yo" reached number eight on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart, and was nominated for a 2005 Billboard Latin Music Award for "Tropical Airplay Track of the Year, New Artist". The album itself reached number one on the Billboard Tropical Albums chart for three nonconsecutive weeks.
Vendetta: The Project(English: Revenge: The Project), also known simply as Vendetta, is the ninth studio album by Puerto Rican reggaetón singer-songwriter Ivy Queen, released on 3 February 2015. An extended play version of the album was released on 9 December 2014. The studio album version was originally announced for a release in February 2014, and later some time in 2014.

The Noise was a Puerto Rican collective of DJs, rappers, and producers who performed at a club, by the same name in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It included many of Puerto Rican performers, some of whom would later find solo success, including Vico C, Baby Rasta & Gringo, Baby Ranks, DJ David, DJ Negro, DJ Nelson, Don Chezina, Ivy Queen, Las Guanabanas, Point Breakers, Trebol Clan, Tony Touch.
"Quimbara" is a song performed by Cuban recording artist Celia Cruz and Dominican recording artist Johnny Pacheco. The song written by 20 year old Junior Cepeda from Puerto Rico, was released as the lead single from Cruz and Pacheco's joint studio album Celia & Johnny (1974).
