Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, also known as Melodi Grand Prix or simply DMGP, is an annual music competition organised by the Danish public broadcaster DR since 1957, which determines the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. The festival has produced three Eurovision winners and fourteen top-five placings.

Simone Egeriis, better known as simply Simone, is a Danish pop singer. She was born and raised in Slagelse, Denmark. She is known in Denmark for winning the Danish TV talent show Scenen er din in the category Junior Singing. She has since released three studio albums – her debut was called Vindens Farver or Colours of the Wind, the song from Disney's Pocahontas, with which she won Scenen er Din. She also plays the violin and the piano.

Mohamed Ahmed Ali, also known by the mononym Mohamed, is a Danish singer. Ali was born in Nørresundby, Aalborg. In 2009, he took part in Season 2 of The X Factor, coming third after winner Linda Andrews and runners up Alien Beat Club. After the series, he signed a contract with Sony Music. On the occasion, Karina Foss Fenn of Sony Music Entertainment Denmark was quoted as saying: "It is rare that we in the music industry encounter a natural talent like Mohamed Ali. Both in his vocals and his physique, he oozes musicality – and his voice has both power and a sweetness that makes his rhythm quite unique." The music will no doubt to reflect Mohamed's personality". This contract resulted in a debut album Keep It Simple of 12 original songs and his single "Rocket" became one of the best downloaded songs.

Morten Rask Hampenberg is a Danish music producer known for both his solo work and his cooperation with the musician Alexander Brown. In his early solo career, he only used his family name and was therefore known as Hampenberg until 2008. In 2009 he began using his full name both in his solo work and joint releases with Brown. He has also used the alias Moám, under which he co-produced Example's UK #2 hit "Say Nothing" and remixed "Stay Awake" and "Watch the Sun Come Up".
