Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University (JRSU) is a state university [2] located at Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. It was established by the Government of Jharkhand through the Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University Act, 2016. [3] It offers courses in the fields of police science and security management.
The foundation stone for the university was laid by the Minister of Defence Manohar Parrikar on 23 January 2016. [4] The university opened on 4 October 2016 with 179 students on five courses. [5]
Jharkhand is a state in eastern India. The state shares its border with the states of West Bengal to the east, Chhattisgarh to the west, Uttar Pradesh to the northwest, Bihar to the north and Odisha to the south. It is the 15th largest state by area, and the 14th largest by population. Hindi is the official language of the state. The city of Ranchi is its capital and Dumka its sub-capital. The state is known for its waterfalls, hills and holy places; Baidyanath Dham, Parasnath, Dewri and Rajrappa are major religious sites. Jharkhand is primarily rural, with about 24% of its population living in cities.

Haldwani is said to be the financial capital of Uttarakhand, having the most commercial, economic and industrial activities of the state. Ranchi University is a public state university in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. It was established in 1960 by an Act of the Bihar legislature. Ranchi University offers degrees in undergraduate, post-graduate, M.Phil. and doctorate programs.

The foundation stone for the university was laid on 21 September 2012 by the President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa among protest by the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, who protested the visit of the Sri Lankan president. Yajneshwar Shastri was appointed as vice-chancellor in July 2016, followed by Neerja Arun Gupta, appointed in February 2022.

Deoghar Airport is a domestic airport serving Deoghar in the state of Jharkhand, India. It is situated approximately 12 kilometres (7.4 mi) from the city centre. The airport has been primarily developed to serve the region of North-Eastern part of Jharkhand and some districts of West Bengal and Bihar. It also caters millions of pilgrims of Baidyanath Temple across the country and Sammed Shikarji for Jains. It is spread over 654 acres (265 ha). The airport has a 2,500 meter long runway, capable of handling Airbus A320, A321 and Boeing 737 type of aircraft. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the airport on 25 May 2018, and it was opened on 12 July 2022.
