Rohtak district is a district in the Indian state of Haryana. It is located in the southeast of Haryana and northwest of Delhi, bounded by Jind and Sonipat districts to the north, Jhajjar and Sonipat districts to the east, and Hissar, Charkhi Dadri, and Bhiwani districts to the west. Rohtak city is the district headquarters.

The Trans–Haryana Expressway or Ambala–Narnaul Expressway is a 227 km long and 6-lane wide access-controlled expressway in the Indian state of Haryana. This expressway connects Gangheri village on (NH-152) in Kurukshetra district with Surana village on Narnaul Bypass (NH-148B) in Mahendragarh district. It passes via Kaul, Pundri, Assandh, Dhatrath, Kalanaur, and Charkhi Dadri. It's straight-line greenfield alignment will reduce the distance from the state capital Chandigarh to Delhi, Narnaul, and Jaipur, while decongesting NH44 and NH48.
