Clyde Douglas "Bulldog" Turner was an American professional football player and coach in the National Football League (NFL). He was elected, as a player, to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1960 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1966. He was also selected in 1969 to the NFL 1940s All-Decade Team.
Warren Brooks Woodson was an American football, basketball, and baseball coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Arkansas State Teachers College, now the University of Central Arkansas, (1935–1940), Hardin–Simmons University (1941–1951), the University of Arizona (1952–1956), New Mexico State University (1958–1967), and Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas (1972–1973), compiling a career college football record of 203–94–14 in 31 seasons. He was also the head basketball coach at Arkansas State Teachers from 1935 to 1941 and at Hardin–Simmons in 1945–46, tallying a career college basketball mark of 116–50. Woodson won an additional 52 football games at junior college level and 18 high school football games. He was inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1989.

He served as the head football coach at Mississippi State University from 2009 to 2017 and the University of Florida from 2018 until 2021. From 2022 until 2024 he worked as a studio analyst and color commentator for ABC and ESPN.

He was the head coach at Western Kentucky from 2016 to 2023 and at Mississippi State from 1998 to 2012. He is a member of the Campbellsville University Athletics Hall of Fame.
Roger Dale Carr is an American former professional football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 10 seasons, primarily with the Baltimore Colts. Carr led the NFL in receiving yards in 1976, earning a Pro Bowl selection. He played college football at Louisiana Tech.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs football program represents Mississippi State University in the sport of American football. Hudspeth served as the head football coach at the University of North Alabama from 2002 to 2008, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 2011 to 2017, and Austin Peay State University in 2019.

James Walter Hopson is an American college football coach and former player. He was most recently the cornerbacks coach for the University of South Alabama from 2023 to 2024. He has been a head coach at Southern Miss and Alcorn State. In the latter role, he was the first white head football coach in the history of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, an organization composed of historically black colleges and universities. Hopson has also served as an assistant coach at Tulane, Delta State, LSU, Florida, Marshall, Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Michigan, and Memphis.
Wesley "Bart" Bellairs is an American former college basketball coach and college athletics administrator. He worked at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) for fourteen years, including 11 season head coach of VMI Keydets basketball team, from 1994 to 2005. After three years of serving as the school's senior associate athletic director, Bellairs was the athletic director at Savannah State University from 2008 to 2009 and Southeastern Louisiana University from 2009 to 2013. He also coached baseball and cross country.
James Edward Carmody Jr. was a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Southern Mississippi from 1982 to 1987, compiling a career record of 37–29. Carmody's 1982 Golden Eagles team went into Bryant–Denny Stadium defeated Bear Bryant's Alabama team that had won 56 consecutive home games entering the contest. Carmody also served as an assistant coach at Mississippi State University, the University of Mississippi and the University of North Carolina.
