Turner was with the Miami Dolphins in 2012 and 2013, where he was implicated in a report from Ted Wells in which Turner was part of a "pattern of harassment." [3]
In February, 2019, Turner was hired by the Cincinnati Bengals. [4]
On March 24, 2025, Jim Turner was named the Interim head coach for the Memphis Showboats of the United Football League (UFL) after Ken Whisenhunt stepped down.
