Floyd James Wheeler (born November 8,1953) is an American businessman and politician from the state of Nevada. A member of the Republican Party,Wheeler served in the Nevada Assembly,representing the 39th district.
Wheeler was the chief executive officer of Powerdyne Automotive Products. [1]
Wheeler first ran for the Nevada Assembly in 2010,seeking to replace James Settelmeyer,who was not running for reelection. [1] However,Kelly Kite won the election.
Wheeler was first elected in 2012,defeating Kelly Kite. [2]
Assembly Bill 86 was a bill that would have reduced the minimum age to gamble from 21 to 18. Wheeler supported the bill. [3] However,the bill died in the senate. [4]
Wheeler served as a minority leader from 2017 until his resignation in 2019. He was replaced by assemblywoman Robin L. Titus. [5] Wheeler won re-election back to the 39th district.
Wheeler told constituents that he would vote to reinstitute slavery if his constituents wanted him to. [6] An ethics complaint was filed against Wheeler,stating that he does not live in the 39th district. [7] Another complaint was filed against Wheeler for failing to disclose a lien. [2]

Since 2022 the Nevada Constitution explicitly includes both sexual orientation and gender identity - discrimination laws since 1999 included sexual orientation for employment and expanded thereafter to housing and accommodation. In addition,conversion therapy on minors is outlawed in the state.
Patricia Ann Spearman is an American cleric,veteran,and Democratic politician from North Las Vegas,Nevada. She was elected in November 2012 to the Nevada Senate representing District 1,that is composed of the northern section of North Las Vegas and slivers of neighboring jurisdictions,after defeating incumbent John Jay Lee in the primary,and winning the general election. Spearman became the first openly lesbian member of the Nevada Legislature. She was re-elected in November 2016,and serves as co-majority whip since. Regarded as one of the most liberal members of the Nevada Senate,Spearman has introduced bills that provide equal pay for women,support LGBT rights,and support veterans. Spearman is also a supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment. Moreover,she was involved in the process of establishing the Nevada Revenue Plan during the 2015 session. On October 6,2021,Spearman entered the 2022 race for Mayor of North Las Vegas,Nevada.
