Benjamin Schandy [2] (born 18 August 1998), [3] better known by his stage name Jimi Somewhere, is a Norwegian singer-songwriter, music producer and designer. [4] [5] His musical genres are alternative, [6] indie and electronic pop. [7]
In 2016 Jimi was named "Ukas Urørt" by Norwegian radio station NRK P3. [8] [9] The following year, he released his debut EP Memoria, [6] through his record label Inquiring Minds. The EP was precedeed by two singles "Escape" and "The Beach". [10] [11]
In the same year, American magazine The Fader posted a list of 15 Scandinavian artists to listen to in 2018, with Jimi as number nine. [7] Jimi also performed at festivals such as Ekkofestival [12] and by:Larm. [13] In 2018 he joined Norwegian indie band Boy Pablo on their European tour. [13] [14]
In 2019, he released his second EP Ponyboy on 5 April, in which it was produced and recorded in Los Angeles. [15] The EP was preceded by two singles "1st Place" and "I Shot My Dog". [16] [17] The former was released on 8 February 2019, while the latter was released on 8 March.[ citation needed ]
On 14 May 2020, Jimi announced the title of his debut album Nothing Gold Can Stay, which was originally planned to be released in 2020. [18] [19] The album's lead single "Bottle Rocket" was released on 31 July 2020. [20] The second single "Jesus" was released on 11 September 2020. The song features guest vocals from American singer-songwriter Kacy Hill. [21] On 13 November 2020, "In My Car" was released as the third single. [22] The album's fourth single "Wedding" was released on 11 December 2020. [23] The fifth and final single "The World" was released on 22 January 2021. Karpe is a Norwegian rap group from Oslo, consisting of Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid and Chirag Rashmikant Patel.
Matias Tellez is a Norwegian singer-songwriter, composer and record producer. Tellez is one of the many young artists that the press have called the Bergen Wave. His music contains elements of pop, rock and Tropicália. He released solo music until starting the band Young Dreams, of which he is the principal songwriter and producer.
John Olav Nilsen & Gjengen was a Norwegian rock-pop band formed in 2006 in Loddefjord, Bergen. It was fronted by singer-songwriter and main vocalist John Olav Nilsen, and released three studio albums before breaking up in 2013. The band's lyrics are entirely in Norwegian.
Team Me is an indie pop band from Norway. Their 2011 debut studio album To the Treetops! won the 2011 Norwegian Grammy Awards (Spellemannprisen) in the category Best Pop Group of the Year. Their second studio album Blind as Night was released in early 2015. They disbanded in late 2015 to work on other projects, but Hagen has continued working as Team Me until it was announced in February 2019 that the band had reformed, with two additional members.

Dråpe ("drop"), formerly Takk, is a Norwegian shoegaze/noise pop band established in summer of 2010 in Oslo, Norway. The band signed its first record deal with Riot Factory in autumn 2011 and released its first EP Dråpe EP. In 2012 it made agreements with Danish and Japanese companies and released its debut album, Canicular Days on April 19, 2013. Dråpe have played several festivals in Norway as well as various missions abroad. They won the Norwegian Untouched award in October 2010.
Aurora Aksnes, known mononymously as Aurora, is a Norwegian singer, songwriter and record producer. Born in Stavanger and raised in the towns of Høle and Os, she began writing her first songs and learning dance at the age of six. After some of her songs were uploaded online and became popular in Norway, she signed a recording contract with Petroleum Records, Decca and Glassnote Records in 2014. Aurora gained recognition with her debut extended play (EP), Running with the Wolves (2015), which contained the sleeper hit "Runaway". Later that year, she provided the backing track for the John Lewis Christmas advert, singing a cover of the Oasis song "Half the World Away".

Dagny Norvoll Sandvik, known mononymously as Dagny, is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her music is pop-based, incorporating elements of indie, dance, synth, electro and disco. She has released two studio albums, Strangers / Lovers (2020) and Elle (2024), and one EP, Ultraviolet (2016). Her single "Somebody" won Song of the Year at P3 Gull 2020 and her 2017 track "Love You Like That" was the basis for Katy Perry's "Never Really Over" (2019). She frequently performs at festivals in Norway and the United Kingdom including Øyafestivalen, Stavernfestivalen, and Bergenfest.
Ludvig Moon is a pop-rock band from Oslo, Norway. The band started as a solo act in 2012 when Anders Magnor Killerud left Spellemannprisen-winning pop band Team Me to pursue his own music. The band released their first songs on NRK Urørt. It was with these songs that they earned Urørt Ukas title on the NRK Urørt website. In 2014 they released their first EP which was self-titled. They released their debut studio album Kin in October 2016, and their second album Vanilla in May 2020.

Marie Ulven Ringheim is a Norwegian singer-songwriter and record producer, known for her indie pop project Girl in Red. Her first EPs Chapter 1 (2018) and Chapter 2 (2019) were recorded in her bedroom and feature songs about romance and mental health. Released majorly through AWAL, her debut studio album If I Could Make It Go Quiet (2021) was a critical and commercial success, and won three Norwegian Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. She then signed to Columbia Records and released her second major-label album, I'm Doing It Again Baby!, to moderate success in 2024.

Jesper Jenset is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. He rose to prominence after finishing fifth in the Norwegian edition of Pop Idol, entitled Idol - Jakten på en superstjerne in 2014, which led him to sign a record deal with Sony Music. Jenset has since released three extended plays; Waves, Vol. 1, Waves, Vol. 2 and Vol. 3.
