The Ekkofestival, Ekko or Ekko - Bergen Electronic Music and Art Festival, is a music festival which takes place in Bergen, Norway [1] in the fall every year.
Ekko mainly focus on presenting electronic music and contemporary art, where the musical expressions encompasses a multitude of genres, with electronic music as the common denominator. The festival started in 2003, and it has grown substantially since the beginning.
During the years Ekko has presented over 400 artists and/or bands, and Ekko has been early in fronting many new artists. Artists like Skatebård, Jeans Team, Me At Sea, Annie, [2] Booka Shade and Kleerup have all played at the festival, as well as established musicians like ESG, Puma, Lasse Marhaug, Biosphere, Stian Westerhus, Øystein Moen, Susanne Sundfør, and A Certain Ratio. In 2009 the festival started the 24th and ended 26 September, and the venue is USF Verftet in Bergen. The line-up includes artists / bands like Röyksopp, Efterklang, Karin Park, Woolfy, The Field, Jonathan Johansson and many more. In addition the festival will present an extended visual art-program.

Röyksopp are a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø in Troms og Finnmark, formed in 1998. The duo consists of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. Røyksopp is the Norwegian word for the class of mushrooms known as puffballs, but the band's name substitutes ö for the second letter.
Susanne Aartun Sundfør is a Norwegian singer-songwriter and record producer. Born and raised in Haugesund, Sundfør embarked on her musical career two years prior to the release of her eponymous debut album (2007), which reached number three on the Norwegian album chart. It was followed by Take One, a live album consisting of songs from her debut. Her second studio album, The Brothel, was released in 2010 to commercial success in Norway, peaking at number one and becoming the best-selling album of that year. The album saw a shift from the piano-driven pop of previous releases towards a more ambitious and electronic direction. In 2011, she released a live instrumental album composed solely of synthesizers, A Night at Salle Pleyel, serving as a commission piece.
Terje Isungset is a Norwegian drummer. From his background in jazz and traditional Scandinavian music, he has designed musical instruments from non-traditional materials, including ice.

The Silicone Veil is the third studio album by Norwegian singer-songwriter Susanne Sundfør, released on 23 March 2012 in Norway and on 15 October in the United Kingdom. It is her first album to be released in the UK. The album was recorded at Pooka Studio and Kikitépe Tearoom Studio. Three singles were released from the album, "White Foxes", "The Silicone Veil" and "Among Us". The video for "Among Us" was directed by Evan McNary and was premiered on Vice's Noisey. Sundfør chose the video as part of a competition by Genero.tv for fans to make a video for the single.
