Jimmie Strimell (born 3 December 1980) is a Swedish singer. He was the founding member, vocalist and main songwriter of the metal band Dead by April until March 2013.
Strimell rejoined Dead by April in April 2017 shortly after Christoffer Andersson's departure from the band. In March 2020, he was released from the band for a second time due to his ongoing drug and alcohol addiction.
After being released from Dead by April for the second time, Strimell went out to form a new band called Vindicta. Vindicta released their first single called "Slice It" on 1 October 2021.
On 30 June 2023 Strimell rejoined Nightrage after their long time vocalist Ronnie Nyman left the band but left shortly after joining due to "personal problems".

Dead Boys are an American punk rock band from Cleveland, Ohio. The band was among the first wave of punk, and regarded by many as one of the rowdiest and most violent groups of the era. They were formed by vocalist Stiv Bators, rhythm guitarist Jimmy Zero, bassist Jeff Magnum, lead guitarist Cheetah Chrome, and drummer Johnny Blitz in 1975, with the later two having splintered from the band Rocket From The Tombs. The original Dead Boys released two studio albums, Young Loud and Snotty, and We Have Come for Your Children.

Corrosion of Conformity is an American heavy metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 1982. The band has undergone multiple lineup changes throughout its existence, with lead guitarist Woody Weatherman as the sole constant member. Weatherman, founding bassist Mike Dean, founding drummer Reed Mullin and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan are widely regarded as its "classic" lineup. After a hiatus in 2006, Corrosion of Conformity returned in 2010 without Keenan, who had been busy touring and recording with Down, but announced their reunion with him in December 2014. More lineup changes have happened since then, with John Green replacing Mullin after his death in 2020 and Dean departing from the band once again in 2024.
Sodom is a German thrash metal band from Gelsenkirchen, formed in 1981. They have gone through many lineup changes, with bassist/vocalist Tom Angelripper the only constant member. The band is currently composed of Angelripper, guitarists Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik and Yorck Segatz, and drummer Toni Merkel. Sodom has been referred to as one of the "Big Four" of Teutonic thrash metal, along with Kreator, Destruction and Tankard. Sodom heavily influenced the German black metal scene, and is regarded as a pioneer of death metal. Mike McPadden wrote that the most Venom-blackened of German "Three Kings", Sodom further merged thrash and death metal into a "wicked and decadent sound."

Cove Reber is an American singer-songwriter known for his contributions to the post-hardcore music scene. He is best known for his tenure as the lead vocalist of Saosin from 2004 to 2010. Reber rejoined Saosin for their fourth album in 2024. Since 2021, he has served as a touring musician with Saosin, exchanging vocal duties with Anthony Green. Reber has also fronted the bands Dead American and Lé Tired.
Dead by April is a Swedish metalcore band from Gothenburg, formed in 2007 by Pontus Hjelm and Jimmie Strimell. The current band lineup consists of Pontus Hjelm, Christopher Kristensen and Markus Wesslén. Despite many line up changes throughout their career, both Markus Wesslén and Pontus Hjelm have remained consistent since their debut album.
Incomparable is the second studio album by Swedish metal band Dead by April. Production for the album took place after a lineup change of guitarists and vocalists for the band following the release of their self-titled debut. Incomparable was released on 21 September 2011 in the United States and most countries, and on 26 September in the United Kingdom, making it the first album by the band to be released in the US in the same time frame as its European release. The album's first official single, "Within My Heart", was released on 16 May 2011 as an EP containing two additional tracks to be featured on the album. The second single, "Calling", was released on 4 September with an accompanying music video released on 6 October. The third single, "Lost", was released on 19 September 2011, following the delay of the "Calling" music video.
Stronger is the first compilation by Swedish alternative metal band Dead by April. It was released on 24 January 2011. The album features some b-sides, acoustic versions, remixes, cover songs as well as an unreleased demo version of the song "More Than Yesterday" as well as two unreleased re-recorded acoustic versions. This is the first release by the band to feature Zandro Santiago as lead vocalist.
Let the World Know is the third studio album by Swedish metal band Dead by April. The album is the first without former vocalist Jimmie Strimell who had since been replaced by Christoffer Andersson, current member of What Tomorrow Brings. The album is also the last to feature original drummer Alexander Svenningson and clean vocalist Zandro Santiago, who both left in 2014. Three of the songs on the album, "As a Butterfly", "Beautiful Nightmare" and "Hold On", were re-recorded in 2019 with Jimmie Strimell and Pontus Hjelm on lead vocals and Marcus Rosell on drums.
Worlds Collide is the fourth studio album by Swedish metalcore band Dead by April. It was released on 7 April 2017 through Spinefarm and Universal. It is the first album to feature guitarist/songwriter Pontus Hjelm on co-lead vocals and the last album to feature former unclean vocalist Christoffer "Stoffe" Andersson as he left the band shortly after the album's release. The album debuted at number 8 on the Swedish albums chart. On 1 September 2017 the band released an EP titled Worlds Collide , which contains four tracks from Worlds Collide with the original harsh vocals replaced with harsh vocals by returning member Jimmie Strimell. On 20 October another EP, called Worlds Collide , was released, containing acoustic versions of 4 songs from the album.
Ingested is an English death metal/deathcore band from Manchester, formed in 2006. The band consists of vocalist Josh Davies, guitarist Sean Hynes and drummer Lyn Jeffs. The band has released seven studio albums since formation, with the latest being “The Tide of Death and Fractured Dreams” in 2024 via Metal Blade Records.
