James Dunne (1921 –23 February 1972) was an Irish Labour Party politician and trade union official. He was a member of Seanad Éireann from 1969 to 1972.
He attended National College of Industrial Relations and University College Dublin where he was awarded a diploma in social and economic studies. [1] He was elected to the 12th Seanad in 1969 by the Labour Panel. [2] He died in office in 1972. [1] No by-election was held to fill his seat.
He became General Secretary of Marine Port and General Workers' Union in 1957, [1] and was president of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions in 1969.
Patrick Hogan was an Irish Labour Party politician who served as Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann from 1951 to 1967 and Leas-Cheann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann from 1927 to 1928,1932 to 1938 and 1948 to 1951. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Clare constituency from 1923 to 1938 and 1943 to 1969. He was a Senator for the Labour Panel from 1938 to 1943.

A vocational panel is any of five lists of candidates from which are elected a total of 43 of the 60 senators in Seanad Éireann,the upper house of the Oireachtas (parliament) of Ireland. Each panel corresponds to a grouping of "interests and services" of which candidates are required to have "knowledge and practical experience". The panels are nominated partly by Oireachtas members and partly by vocational organisations. From each panel,between five and eleven senators are elected indirectly,by Oireachtas members and local councillors,using the single transferable vote. The broad requirements are specified by Article 18 of the Constitution of Ireland and the implementation details by acts of the Oireachtas,principally the Seanad Electoral Act 1947,and associated statutory instruments.

William McMullen was an Irish trade unionist and politician. A member of the Labour movement,McMullen primary work was a trade unionist,but he was also a successful politician who secured office in the Parliament of Northern Ireland. Despite coming from a Presbyterian family,McMullen was also an avowed Irish republican,bitterly opposing the partition of Ireland in the 1920s and joining the Republican Congress in the 1930s. In the 1940s McMullen became the leader of the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union and in the 1950s,he became a member of the Irish senate.

Christopher Kirwan was an Irish Labour Party politician and trade unionist. He served as a member of Seanad Éireann from 1983 to 1987. He was nominated by the Taoiseach Garret FitzGerald to the 17th Seanad in 1983. He did not contest the 1987 Seanad election.
