However their next television project was to be a more traditional sitcom. [1]

The duo had been noticed by news outlets such as The Huffington Post and NewMediaRockstars. [2] [3] From 2012 to new years eve 2014, Bereta was a host on SourceFed.

From 2017 to April 2018, Bereta worked for Smosh as a content producer. [4] He guest appeared with them a year later with the Valleyfolk for a one-off video. [5]

Bereta co-founded the YouTube-based comedy group The Valleyfolk in Los Angeles in January 2018 with SourceFed employees Elliott Morgan, Lee Newton, and Steve Zaragoza. [6] Barats and Bereta ended after fifteen years when Joe's commitments to the Valleyfolk became strong. The Valleyfolk won the first season of Bring the Funny in 2019. [7]
