Joseph R. Bermudez is an American disc jockey and house music artist. Three of his songs - "Sunrise" (2016, with Louise Carver), "Ghosting" (2018, with Megn), and "Crazy Enough" (2018, with Louise Carver) - have reached number one on Billboard 's Dance Club Songs chart.
Joe Bermudez was born and raised in Maine. He got his start in the music business at the age of 18 when he walked into WKZS radio in Auburn and pleaded for a job doing anything, because he was about to be evicted from his apartment. [1] After a few months, Bermudez was hosting his own show, "Kiss Klub Night". He later became the music director for the syndicated weekend radio show Open House Party . [2]
By 2002, Bermudez was well enough known as a DJ to be hired by Sirius XM Radio for their BPM electronic dance music channel. By 2004, he was also doing shows on WAKS in Cleveland and WAKZ in Youngstown, Ohio. In 2012, Bermudez was based in Boston and opened for Madonna at the TD Garden (as a last minute substitute for Martin Solveig). Bermudez released the album New Ginza at Night in 2014; he later licensed the track "DJ Fav" for use in the 2016 film High Strung , where it was performed by Nia Sioux. In 2015, he was appearing weekly on Boston's WBGB "103.3 AMP Radio" there and DJing locally and nationwide.
Bermudez has done official remixes for artists such as Celine Dion ("I'm Alive" (2002)), Mis-Teeq ("One Night Stand" and "Scandalous" (both 2004)), Kelly Clarkson ("Behind These Hazel Eyes" (2005), Shania Twain ("Shoes" (2005)), Janice Robinson ("Dreamer" (2006)), Hilary Duff ("Come Clean" (2004), "With Love" (2007), and "Reach Out" (2008)), Britney Spears ("Circus" (2008)), Kesha ("Blah Blah Blah" (2010)), Rihanna ("S&M" (2011)), and Selena Gomez & the Scene ("Who Says" (2011)).
House of Pain was an American hip-hop trio that released three albums in the 1990s. The group consisted of DJ Lethal, Danny Boy, and Everlast. The group's name is a reference to the H. G. Wells novel The Island of Dr. Moreau, a reference carried further by the naming of their 2011 tour He Who Breaks the Law. The group is best known for its 1992 hit single "Jump Around", which reached number 3 in their native United States of America, number 6 in Ireland and number 8 in the United Kingdom. The group broke up in 1996 due to what Everlast described as a toxic environment fueled by Danny Boy's drug addiction. Lead rapper Everlast eventually went on to pursue a solo career as a blues rock artist and member of the supergroup La Coka Nostra which also featured DJ Lethal. House of Pain reunited briefly in 2010 for a world tour.

Open House Party is an American radio show hosted by Kannon (Saturday) and Joe Breezy (Sunday), branded as "The Biggest Party on the Planet!", playing contemporary hit music. From its inception in September 1987, OHP quickly became popular with its live all-request format, along with a heavy rotation of dance music and remixes that differentiated itself from most Top 40 stations or shows. John Garabedian created and hosted both Saturday and Sunday nights for nearly 30 years. The show's audience and revenue peaked from the mid 1990s to late 2000s, where it was heard on over 175 stations and became the world's most-listened-to radio program on weekend nights. Since Garabedian's departure, the show has changed drastically in terms of presentation and production with less than 30 total affiliates. A key reason for OHP's decline is that it is no longer live, but instead, voice-tracked.
