Johan Nunez (born Johan Nunez on 3 March 1988 [1] [2] in Charleroi, Belgium [3] ) is a Belgian drummer, best known as the drummer for power metal band Firewind and the former drummer for melodic death metal bands Nightrage, Meridian Dawn, and Suicide of Demons and symphonic metal band Kamelot.

In February 2018, he joined the American power metal band Kamelot as their new permanent drummer, replacing their longtime member Casey Grillo. On 21 April 2018, it was announced that he would be stepping away from the band due to injury during the band's North American tour. [4]

On 24 May 2020, the Spanish band Lords of Black has announced the signing of Johan Nunez as their new drummer. [5]

Kamelot American power metal band

Kamelot is an American power metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed by Thomas Youngblood, in 1987. The Norwegian vocalist Roy Khan joined for the album Siége Perilous, and shared songwriting credit with Youngblood until his departure in April 2011. On June 22, 2012, Youngblood announced on their website that their new vocalist would be the Swedish singer Tommy Karevik, who was first featured on Kamelot's album Silverthorn as the main vocalist, co-songwriter, and lyricist.

Firewind

Konstantinos Karamitroudis, better known as Gus G, is a Greek heavy metal guitarist. He currently plays with his band Firewind. He has also played in Mystic Prophecy, Nightrage, Arch Enemy, Dream Evil and for Ozzy Osbourne.

Roy Khan

Roy Sætre Khantatat, commonly known as Roy Khan, is a Norwegian singer-songwriter who is the lead singer for the Norwegian progressive metal band Conception and was the lead vocalist for the symphonic power metal band Kamelot from 1997 until his departure in 2011. He co-wrote most of Kamelot's songs with the band's guitarist and founder Thomas Youngblood during his tenure. Khan had retired from music in 2011 until 2018, when he released a new solo song on YouTube and announced the return of Conception.

Conception is a Norwegian power/progressive metal band from Raufoss, Norway, originally active from 1989 to 1998, during which they released four studio albums. The band reunited in 2018, twenty years after originally disbanding with a new single and EP.

The Agonist

The Agonist is a Canadian metal band from Montreal, Quebec, formed in 2004. The current line up consists of guitarists Danny Marino and Pascal (Paco) Jobin, bassist Chris Kells, drummer Simon Mckay, and vocalist Vicky Psarakis, who joined in March 2014 following the departure of vocalist and founding member Alissa White-Gluz. Both Psarakis and White-Gluz use growled and clean vocals. Originally known as the Tempest, the band adopted their current moniker upon their signing to Century Media in 2007. Black Tide American heavy metal band

Black Tide was an American heavy metal band from Kendall, Florida, United States. Formed in 2004, the band consists of Gabriel Garcia, Austin Diaz and Cody Paige (drums). They released their debut album, Light from Above, on March 18, 2008 through Interscope Records when Garcia was 15 years old. Their second album, Post Mortem, was released on August 23, 2011. Black Tide's EP Bite the Bullet was released on November 12, 2013 by InnerCat Music Group, a Miami-based boutique label. On October 16, 2015 band released their last album Chasing Shadows. On July 22, 2016 Gabriel Garcia announced on his Instagram that the band is over and he is concentrating on his solo project.

Alestorm

Alestorm is a multi-national heavy metal band originally from Perth, Scotland. Their music is characterised by a pirate theme, and as a result, they have been dubbed a "pirate metal" band by many critics and their fanbase. Few Against Many is the seventh studio album by Greek heavy metal band Firewind. It is the first album to feature ex-Nightrage, Meridian Dawn drummer Johan Nunez. It was released on 21 May 2012 in Europe and 22 May in North America. This would be Firewind's last album with Apollo Papathanasio as their Vocalist before he decided to quit on 15 January 2013.
