John Santanella (born 1 May 1967) is a member-elect of the Connecticut House of Representatives,representing the 58th district,taking office in 2025. [1] Santanella,also serves as a member of the Enfield Town Council representing the 2nd District,since 2021,and currently serves as Minority Leader. [2] [3] [4]
Santanella,is a graduate of Boston College with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and a Master’s in Business Administration specializing in Marketing and Finance. Santanella,a small business owner,was previously an executive at Viacom (2005-2019) and Hasbro. [5]
Santanella,while on the Enfield Town Council authored the town’s first-ever resolution recognizing Pride Month in the Town of Enfield. [6]

Ella Rosa Giovianna Oliva Grasso was an American politician and member of the Democratic Party who served as the 83rd governor of Connecticut from January 8,1975,to December 31,1980,after rejecting past offers of candidacies for Senate and governor. She was the first woman elected governor in Connecticut and the fourth woman to be elected governor of a U.S. state. She is also the first female governor to not be the spouse or widow of a former governor. She resigned as governor due to her battle with ovarian cancer.
