The European Junior Swimming Championships is an annual swimming competition for European swimmers organized by the Ligue Européenne de Natation and held over five days. The competitor age for females was 15 to 16 years; for males it is 17 to 18 years until 2015. From 2016 the competitor age is for females 14 to 17 years and for males 15 to 18 years.
Robert "Bobby" Hurley is an Australian swimmer and former World Record holder in the short-course 50 metres Backstroke and 2012 World Champion in the same event. In 2009 he won a bronze medal as a team member on the 4 × 200 m Freestyle relay at the FINA World Championships in Rome. He has five FINA World Championship medals to his name, two gold, one silver and two bronze.
Kenneth King-him To was a Hong Kong Australian swimmer who practised individual medley, freestyle, butterfly and breaststroke. He won 6 medals at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, was the male overall winner of the 2012 FINA Swimming World Cup and was a World Championships silver medallist. He was the holder of 16 Hong Kong national swimming records.
Dmytro Valeriyovych Nazarenko is a Ukrainian-born Turkish former swimmer, who specialized in individual medley events. He is a fifth-place finalist in the 400 m individual medley at the 2002 European Short Course Swimming Championships in Riesa, Germany (4:12.07).
Marina Vladimirovna Mulyayeva is a Kazakh former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle and individual medley events. She is a six-time national record holder, a multiple-time ACC titleholder, and a one-time NCAA Honorable Mention All-American swimmer. Mulyayeva is also a varsity swimmer for the Maryland Terrapins and an international business major at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland.
Aleksey Sergeyevich Kovrigin is a Russian former swimmer, who specialized in freestyle and individual medley events. He is a three-time Russian swimming in the 400 m individual medley, and a current president of the Krasnoyarsk Swimming Federation. He is also a graduate of physical education at Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University.
Mark Kwok Kin-ming is a former swimmer for Hong Kong, who specialized in middle-distance freestyle but also competed in butterfly and individual medley. He is a two-time Olympian, and a bronze medalist at the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand. He also holds numerous Hong Kong records in 200, 400, and 800 m freestyle, and retains a dual resident status to compete internationally for his father's homeland. While studying in the United States, Kwok has competed for the USC Trojans, and has received four All-American honors at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in four consecutive seasons.
Sng Ju Wei is a Singaporean former swimmer, who specialized in sprint and middle-distance freestyle events. He is a two-time Olympian, and a triple medalist at the 2001 Southeast Asian Games. Sng also trained for the Aquatic Performance Swim Club in Singapore district, under head coach Jin Xia Li.
Torwai Sethsothorn is a Thai former swimmer, who specialized in long-distance freestyle but also competed in backstroke and individual medley. He is a single-time Olympian (2000), and a multiple-time SEA Games gold medalist. Sethsothorn is also the brother of 1998 Asian Games champion Torlarp Sethsothorn.
Jan Víťazka is a Czech former swimmer, who specialized in butterfly and in individual medley events. He is a 2000 Olympian and a six-time Czech record holder. While studying in the United States, he also holds three school records as a member of the University of Cincinnati swimming and diving team from 1996 to 1999. During his early sporting career, Víťazka trained for Kometa Brno Swim Club under head coach Ondřej Butir.
Sultan Al-Otaibi is a Kuwaiti former swimmer, who specialized in individual medley, but also competed in backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. He represented Kuwait in all of the four editions of the Olympic Games since 1988, and also held numerous Kuwaiti records in the same disciplines, particularly in the 200 m individual medley.
Alexandra Zertsalova is a Kyrgyz former swimmer, who specialized in individual medley events. Zertsalova competed in a medley double at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. She achieved FINA B-standards of 2:23.30 and 4:59.24 from the Russian Open Championships in Saint Petersburg. On the first day of the Games, Zertsalova placed twenty-seventh in the 400 m individual medley. Swimming in heat one, she raced to the third seed by more than ten seconds behind Argentina's Georgina Bardach and Slovakia's Jana Korbasová in 5:09.03. Two days later, in the 200 m individual medley, Zertsalova posted a second-place time of 2:24.09 in the same heat, but finished in thirty-second place among 36 other swimmers from the prelims.
Lee Ji-hyun is a South Korean former swimmer, who specialized in individual medley events. She represented her nation South Korea in two editions of the Olympic Games, and also a top eight finalist in the 400 m individual medley at the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand.
Tucker Dupree is an American swimmer. He won three medals at the 2012 Paralympic Games and one at the 2016 Paralympic Games. He has also set multiple world and American records in swimming. He competes in the Paralympic classes S12/SB12/SM12.
