The Johnson Peaks ( 71°21′S12°26′E / 71.350°S 12.433°E Coordinates: 71°21′S12°26′E / 71.350°S 12.433°E ) are a cluster of detached peaks which mark the northern extremity of the Mittlere Petermann Range, in the Wohlthat Mountains of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. They were discovered and plotted from air photos by the Third German Antarctic Expedition, 1938–39, were replotted from air photos and surveys by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60, and were named for Rolf Johnson, a steward with the Norwegian expedition, 1958–59. The range was discovered and plotted from air photos by the Third German Antarctic Expedition of 1938–39, and so named by them for its middle position in the northern part of the Petermann Ranges.
Wohlthat Mountains is a large group of associated mountain features consisting of the Humboldt Mountains, Petermann Ranges, and the Gruber Mountains, located immediately east of the Orvin Mountains in Fimbulheimen in the central Queen Maud Land. Discovered by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938–1939), led by Capt. Alfred Ritscher, and named for Councilor of state Helmuth C.H. Wohlthat, who as economist and fiscal officer dealt with the organization of the expedition.
The Scott Mountains are a large number of isolated peaks lying south of Amundsen Bay in Enderby Land of East Antarctica, Antarctica. Discovered on 13 January 1930 by the British Australian New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE) under Sir Douglas Mawson. He named the feature Scott Range after Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Royal Navy. The term mountains is considered more appropriate because of the isolation of its individual features.
Austbanen Moraine is a medial moraine in the glacier between the Westliche Petermann Range and the Mittlere Petermann Range in the Wohlthat Mountains, originating at Svarttindane Peaks and trending north for 12 miles (19 km). It was first roughly plotted from air photos by the Third German Antarctic Expedition between 1938 and 1939. It was mapped by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition from 1956 to 1960, from air photos and from surveys, and named "Austbanen". Vestbanen Moraine, a similar paralleling feature, lies 7 miles (11 km) westward.
The Aurkvaevane Cirques are a set of three cirques with moraine-covered floors, indenting the west side of Kvaevefjellet Mountain in the Payer Mountains of Queen Maud Land. They were discovered and plotted from air photos by the Third German Antarctic Expedition, 1938–39, and re-plotted from air photos and from surveys, and named, by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60.
Altarduken Glacier is a small glacier just east of The Altar at the head of Grautskala Cirque, in the Humboldt Mountains of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was discovered and mapped from air photos by the Third German Antarctic Expedition, 1938-39, but was remapped by Norway from air photos and surveys by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60, and named Altarduken in association with The Altar.
Brautnuten Peak is a low peak 5 nautical miles (9 km) southeast of Snøkallen Hill, on the east side of Ahlmann Ridge in Queen Maud Land. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named by the Norwegians.
The Östliche Petermann Range is one of the Petermann Ranges, trending in a north-south direction for 15 nautical miles (28 km) from Per Spur to the Gornyye Inzhenery Rocks, in the Wohlthat Mountains of Queen Maud Land. It was discovered and plotted from air photos by German Antarctic Expedition of 1938–39, and so named by them for its eastern location in the Petermann Ranges.
Osechka Peak is a small peak, 1,740 m, standing 6 nautical miles (11 km) south of Vorposten Peak in Lomonosov Mountains, Queen Maud Land. Mapped from air photos and surveys by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1958–59; remapped by Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named Gora Osechka.
Mount Nikolayev is the central peak, 2,850 m, of Aurdalsegga Ridge in Sudliche Petermann Range, Wohlthat Mountains. Discovered and plotted from air photos by German Antarctic Expedition, 1938-39. Mapped from air photos and surveys by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60; remapped by Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61 and named after Soviet petrographer V.A. Nikolayev.
Kvitsvodene Valley is an ice-filled valley about 5 nautical miles (10 km) long between Kvitkjølen Ridge and the Robin Heights in the Sverdrup Mountains of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was photographed from the air by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39). The valley was mapped and named by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59).
Dugurdspiggen Peak is an isolated peak about 4 nautical miles north of the Borg Massif in Queen Maud Land. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Dugurdspiggen.
Ekho Mountain is a mountain, 1,690 metres (5,540 ft) high, standing 3 nautical miles (6 km) southwest of Vorposten Peak in the Lomonosov Mountains, Queen Maud Land. It was discovered and roughly plotted from air photos by the Third German Antarctic Expedition, 1938–39. It was mapped from air photos and surveys by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1958–59, was remapped by the Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named "Gora Ekho".
Gneysovaya Peak is a peak, 2,050 metres (6,730 ft) high, on the ridge connecting Krakken Mountain and Sandseten Mountain in the Westliche Petermann Range, Wohlthat Mountains, Antarctica. It was discovered and plotted from air photos by the Third German Antarctic Expedition, 1938–39. It was mapped from air photos and surveys by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60, remapped by the Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named "Gora Gneysovaya".
Gordon Peak is a rock peak marking the northwest end of the Robin Heights in the Sverdrup Mountains of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was photographed from the air by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39). It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59). It was named for Robin de Quetterville Gordon, third in command and physicist with the NBSAE.

It was replotted from air photos and surveys by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60, and named for Kare Hansen, a meteorologist with the Norwegian expedition, 1958–59.
Livdebotnen Cirque is a cirque formed in the northeast side of Mount Flånuten and the west side of Botnfjellet Mountain, in the Humboldt Mountains of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was discovered and photographed by the Third German Antarctic Expedition, 1938–39, was mapped by Norway from air photos and surveys by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60, and named Livdebotnen.
Kinntanna Peak is a sharp peak, 2,725 metres (8,940 ft) high, about 1 nautical mile (2 km) north of Holtanna Peak in the eastern part of Fenriskjeften Mountain in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was mapped from surveys and air photos by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–60) and named Kinntanna.
Mount Schicht is a prominent mountain with several summits, rising 4 nautical miles (7 km) west-southwest of Ritscher Peak in the Gruber Mountains of Queen Maud Land. The feature was discovered by the German Antarctic Expedition under Ritscher, 1938–39, and named Schichtberge because of its appearance.
Smolenskaya Mountain is a small mountain, 2,890 m, standing 2.5 nautical miles (4.6 km) east-southeast of Mount Neustruyev in Sudliche Petermann Range, Wohlthat Mountains. Discovered and plotted from air photos by German Antarctic Expedition, 1938-39. Mapped from air photos and surveys by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60; remapped by Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named after the city of Smolensk.
Torbjørn Rocks is a group of rocks lying in the mouth of Lunde Glacier in the Mühlig-Hofmann Mountains of Queen Maud Land. They were plotted from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–60) and named for Torbjørn Lunde, the glaciologist with the expedition.
