Jonatan Clase (born May 23,2002) is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Seattle Mariners.
Clase signed with the Seattle Mariners as an international free agent on July 2,2018. He made his professional debut in 2019 with the Dominican Summer League Mariners. Clase did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. [1]
Clase returned to action in 2021 with the rookie–level Arizona Complex League Mariners. He played in 14 games for the team,missing time due to injury,and batted .245/.333/.388 with two home runs,10 RBI,and 16 stolen bases. [2] Clase spent the 2022 campaign with the Single–A Modesto Nuts,slashing .267/.374/.463 with 13 home runs,49 RBI,and 55 stolen bases. [3]
On November 15,2022,the Mariners added Clase to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. [4] He was optioned to the High-A Everett AquaSox to begin the 2023 season. [5] In 129 games split between Everett and the Double–A Arkansas Travelers,he batted .242/.353/.449 with 20 home runs,68 RBI,and 79 stolen bases.
Clase was optioned to the Triple–A Tacoma Rainiers to begin the 2024 season. [6] On April 15,2024,Clase was promoted to the major leagues for the first time following an injury to Dominic Canzone. [7]
On July 26,2024,Clase and Jacob Sharp were traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for Yimi García. [8]

Gregory Anthony Halman was a Dutch professional baseball outfielder. He played with the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2010 and 2011. He also played internationally with the Netherlands national team in the 2007 European Baseball Championship and 2009 World Baseball Classic (WBC). He died in Rotterdam in November 2011 after being stabbed at his brother's house. His brother,Jason Halman,was arrested in connection with the stabbing but was acquitted on the grounds of temporary insanity.
Jean Carlos Enrique Segura is a Dominican professional baseball infielder who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim,Milwaukee Brewers,Arizona Diamondbacks,Seattle Mariners,Philadelphia Phillies,and Miami Marlins.
