Jonica "Blu" Booth is an American actress. She's best known for her role as Chastity in Max's Rap Sh!t, guest starring in Peacock's Mrs. Davis and starring in Season 12 of Oxygen's reality TV show Bad Girls Club.

Career

Booth was nicknamed "The Chick Magnet" in Bad Girls Club (season 12). [1] She worked in Atlanta before moving to Los Angeles to take acting and comedy classes. [2] Her initial audition for Rap Sh!t was unsuccessful, but she got a second opportunity to audition after contacting the casting director on Instagram. [1] [3]

Personal life

Booth is bisexual. She's originally from St. Louis and played basketball at Fort Zumwalt South High School. She majored in Psychology at Missouri Valley College. [3] [4] Her younger brother Jonigan Booth starred in The Underdoggs. [5]

Rap Sh!t is an American comedy television series created by Issa Rae for HBO Max. The show is produced by Hoorae Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment and centers on two Miami-based rappers who try to find success in the music industry. The series debuted at the American Black Film Festival on June 18, 2022, and was released on July 21, 2022. It was renewed for a second season in September 2022, which premiered on November 9, 2023. The season was originally set to debut on August 10, 2023, but was delayed due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. In January 2024, the series was canceled after two seasons.
