Jorge Ramos (born 2 February 1949) is a Cuban former wrestler who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics and in the 1976 Summer Olympics. [1] At the 1975 Pan American Games he won the gold medal in the men's Freestyle -57 kg.

The delegation included Augusto Ramos Soares and Mariana Diaz Ximenez, both of whom were marathoners that qualified via wildcard places as the nation had no athletes that met the "A" or "B" qualifying standards. Ximenez was selected as flag bearer for the opening ceremony. Neither of the two athletes finished their events; Soares did not even start.

Its participation in Beijing marked its eighth Olympic appearance under the name "Belize" and its tenth overall, as its first two appearances were under the name "British Honduras". Born in Mexico City, he won a gold medal riding his horse Chihuahua in the show jumping competition for the Mexican team along with Humberto Mariles and Rubén Uriza at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. Capt. Valdes and Chihuahua placed equal 10th on a total of 20 points in the individual competition. His teammate Col. Humberto Mariles riding Arete won the individual gold medal on a total of 6.25 points.
