Joseph Kwaku Afrifah-Agyekum (born December 22 in the 20th century) is the Catholic Bishop of Koforidua, Ghana. [1] [2] [3]

Career

Afrifah-Agyekum was ordained a priest on July 17, 1983, [3] and enshrined in the Diocese of Accra. Since the inauguration of the Koforidua Chapel in 1992, he has been part of the new chapel. After his ordination, he held the following positions: parochial vicar of Accra Cathedral (1983–1985); The priest of the parish “St. Peter's” in Rain (1985–1986); Doctor of Biblical Studies at the Pontifical Athenaeum Sant’ Anselmo in Rome (1986–1992); The priest of the parish “St. George's” in Koforidua, Warden of the Cathedral and Commander-in-Chief of Koforidua (1992–1993). Since 2005, he has been the parish administrator. [1] [4]

He was consecrated by Pope Benedict XVI on April 12, 2006. he was appointed Bishop of Koforidua. He was ordained by the Archbishop of Accra, Gabriel Charles Palmer-Buckle, on July 1 of the same year; Presenting were the Archbishop of Kumasi, Peter Kwasi Sarpong, and the Archbishop of Tamale, Gregory Ebolawola Kpiebaya.
