The Constitutional Court of South Africa is the supreme constitutional court established by the Constitution of South Africa, and is the apex court in the South African judicial system, with general jurisdiction.
George W. Kanyeihamba is a Ugandan author, a retired supreme court Judge, former cabinet minister, member of parliament and was a chair of the Legal Committee of the Constituent Assembly that made the 1995 Constitution. Olara A. Otunnu is a Ugandan politician, diplomat, and lawyer. He was President of the Uganda People's Congress (UPC), a political party, from 2010 to 2015 and stood as the party's candidate in the 2011 presidential election. Otunnu was Uganda's Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 1980 to 1985 and served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1985 to 1986. Later, he was President of the International Peace Academy from 1990 to 1998, and an Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict from 1997 to 2005.
Bart Magunda Katureebe is a Ugandan judge and the former Chief Justice of Uganda. He was appointed to that position on 5 March 2015. Before that, he was a justice of the Supreme Court of Uganda.

Benjamin Josses Odoki is a former Chief Justice of Uganda, former Supreme Court Justice of Eswatini, and current Chairman of the Committee of Constitutional Experts for Drafting the EAC Political Federation Constitution, the committee drafting the constitution for the East African Confederation. Odoki served as the tenth Chief Justice of Uganda from 2001 to 2013 after fifteen years as a Judge on the Supreme Court of Uganda. He was a State Attorney of Uganda previous to his appointment to the court in 1986.
General Edward Kalekezi Kayihura, commonly known as Kale Kayihura, is a Ugandan lawyer, military General, farmer and former policeman. He was the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of the Uganda Police Force, the highest rank in that branch of Uganda's government, from 2005 until 5 March 2018. He was succeeded by Martin Okoth Ochola in an unexpected reshuffle. This also saw the Minister for security Henry Tumukunde replaced.

Mutharika has worked in the field of international justice, specialising in international economic law, international law and comparative constitutional law. He informally served as an adviser to his older brother, President Bingu wa Mutharika, on issues of foreign and domestic policy from the onset of his election campaign until the President's death on 5 April 2012.
Sir Alan Armstrong Huggins was a British colonial judge serving in places including Uganda, Hong Kong and Brunei. He spent nearly 40 years in the judiciary of Hong Kong, serving as a Vice-President of the Court of Appeal from 1980 to 1987. After the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong in 1997, he was appointed a non-permanent Hong Kong judge of the Court of Final Appeal until 2003.
Vincent Cyril Richard Arthur Charles (V.C.R.A.C.) Crabbe was a Ghanaian jurist and public servant. He was a judge of the Supreme Court of Ghana from 1970 to 1972 and from 1980 to 1981. As interim electoral commissioner, Crabbe formed a permanent electoral commission to conduct the 1969 Ghanaian Election. He chaired the Constituent Assembly of 1979 that produced a constitution for Ghana's Third Republic. He was the Statute Law Revision Commissioner under the Fourth Republic. At the time of his death, he was a Professor of Law at Mountcrest University College.
Mary Stella Arach-Amoko was a Ugandan judge who served as a justice of the Supreme Court of Uganda from 20 June 2013 to 17 June 2023.
Esther Hayut is an Israeli jurist who served as president of the Supreme Court of Israel from October 2017 to October 2023.
Augustino Steven Lawrence Ramadhani was a Tanzanian jurist and Christian leader. He was Chief Justice of Tanzania from 2007 to 2010, and a Judge of the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights from 2010 to 2016. From 2017 to 2018 he was episcopal vicar of the Diocese of Dar es Salaam.
Augustine Saidi, or Augustino B. Saidi, was a Tanzanian lawyer who was the first African Chief Justice of Tanzania.
