Joseph Sabobo Banda (born 17 December 2005) is a Zambian footballer currently playing as a forward for Red Arrows, on loan from Atletico Lusaka.
Sabobo Banda grew up in Chaisa, Lusaka, and represented Atletico Lusaka in the Lusaka Provincial League, finishing as top scorer in 2021. [1] These performances caught the eye of Zambia Super League team Red Arrows, who signed him on an 18-month loan deal in January 2022. [1]
In February 2022, he went on trial with Spanish giants Barcelona. [2] [3]
A prolific goal-scorer for the Zambian under-17 side, Sabobo Banda has been called up to the Zambia national football team on multiple occasions, the first call-up coming when he was 14 years old. [4] [5] [6]

Zanaco FC is a Zambian football club based in Lusaka that plays in the MTN/FAZ Super Division. They play their home games at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka. Zanaco Football Club was formed in 1978 as a social team by management trainees of Zambia National Commercial Bank. The team was launched at LOTUS INN in Lusaka. The founding members were Lloyd Choongo, Ben Banda, Nathan Lupupa and John Kasengele. Starting from the 1980s, Zanaco started growing steadily from a mere social club to becoming one of the most successful and decorated club in Zambian football history. Over the years the Sunset Stadium-based team has won 7 Super League trophies, 4 Charity Shields, 1 Coca-Cola Cup, 1 Mosi Cup and 3 BP Cups. Zanaco are the only team outside of Zambia's Copperbelt Province to have not only won but also defended the Super League Trophy.
Joseph Banda and Luka Banda are twin brothers who used to be conjoined. They were born joined at the back of the skull and faced in opposite directions. In late 1997, neurosurgeon Ben Carson led a team of 50 Zambian and South African specialists to separate the 11-month-old twins in a 28-hour operation. They did not share any organs, but shared intricate blood vessels that flowed into each other's brains. In 2001, the twins were fitted with artificial skulls to permanently close their heads. In an interview, Carson stated about the operation:
