Joseph Henderson Williams (born 1 September 1974) is a former Barbadian cricketer who played several matches for Barbados during the late 1990s. From the parish of Saint Philip,Williams represented the Barbados under-19 team at both the 1993 and 1994 West Indies Youth Championships. [1] He made his first-class debut for Barbados during the 1995–96 season,against Guyana in the Red Stripe Cup. The match was washed out after one day's play, [2] and Williams played only one further match at first-class level,against a touring Free State team the following season. [3] In that match,played at the Kensington Oval,Bridgetown,he took 3/57 in Free State's only innings,bowling first change behind Henry Austin and Test player Patterson Thompson. [4]
Although he only played two matches at first-class level,Williams had greater success in the limited-overs format,playing six matches over the 1996–97 and 1997–98 seasons of the West Indian domestic one-day competition. [5] He made his List A debut for Barbados against the Windward Islands in October 1996,taking one wicket on debut. [6] In what was arguably his best performance for the team,Williams took 3/33 in the following match against Bermuda,helping to restrict the Bermudians to 215/8 from their 50 overs. [7] His last one-day match for Barbados came against Guyana in October 1997,with his figures of 3/54 the best in the match. [8] Williams did not play for Barbados again,finishing with eight wickets from his six limited-overs matches,alongside his three wickets from two first-class matches. [9]
The Regional Four Day Competition,formerly known as the Shell Shield,Red Stripe,Busta and Carib Beer Cup,is the West Indies's first-class cricket competition that's run by Cricket West Indies. In the 2013–2014 season the winner of the tournament was awarded the WICB President's Trophy while the winners of the knockout competition were awarded the George Headley/Everton Weekes trophy. In a few previous seasons the winners of the tournament were awarded the Headley/Weekes trophy. On from the 2016–17 season,the Competition was sponsored by Digicel and was known as the Digicel Four Day Championship. Since 2019–20,the competition has been renamed as the West Indies Championship.
The Super50 Cup,currently named the CG Insurance Super50 Cup for sponsorship purposes is the domestic one-day cricket competition in the West Indies. It was previously known as the KFC Cup until the fast food chain pulled out of sponsorship in 2008 and the WICB Cup until 2011. Afterwards it was known the Regional Super50 until 2014 when NAGICO Insurance became the title sponsor and it became the NAGICO Regional Super50 until 2021. In recent years it has been run in a condensed format with the group stage taking place over approximately two to three weeks,immediately followed by the knock-out stages. Leon Constantine Romero is an American cricketer. A right-handed batsman,right-arm medium pace bowler and occasional wicket-keeper,he played two One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the United States national cricket team in the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy,having previously played first-class and List A cricket for Trinidad &Tobago.
Janeiro J Tucker is a Bermudian cricketer,who captained the Bermudian cricket team in their first ever One Day International when they played Canada on 17 May 2006;Tucker took 2/29 off nine overs and scored 17 as Bermuda won the game by three wickets under the Duckworth-Lewis method. Leonard Alphonso Harris was a West Indian cricketer who played for the Leeward Islands between 1958 and 1971. An opening batsman for much of his career,and occasional bowler in his final seasons,Harris played in West Indian first class cricket,as well as facing the MCC team,England and Australia during his career. He played 27 matches,scoring nearly 1,400 runs at 29.04,including a century,and taking 15 wickets at 19.46. He then went on to play lower-level cricket for St. Kitts until 1976,and helped create the first cricket academy in the Leeward Islands.
