Joseva Talacolo (born 1 April 1997) is a Fijian rugby union player for the Fiji national rugby sevens team. He was selected as part of the Fijian squad for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Talacolo was born on 1 April 1997 in Suva, Fiji. [1] The eldest of eight children, he grew up in the Naqarawai village in Namosi Province. [2] He said that he decided to play rugby union to support his family, after "seeing how my parents struggle to put food in front of us, put a roof over our heads and provide for us." [2] His father enrolled him in the Lelean Memorial School Rugby Academy and Talacolo rose through the ranks. [2]
Talacolo, an inside centre, [3] became an "influential player on the local [rugby] 7s scene" with the Police Blue club. [4] He was described by The Fiji Times as "the go-to man in the air for the Police Blue ... His prowess in winning restarts and line-outs have been applauded by fans. Furthermore, his aerial ball skills and handling of the ball in one hand is phenomenal." [4]
Talacolo narrowly missed selection to the Fiji national rugby sevens team for the 2020 Summer Olympics, being a travelling reserve. [5] He later debuted for the national team at the 2021 Dubai Sevens, held in November and December 2021. [4] [5] He missed out on selection to the 2022 Commonwealth Games due to an illness, but returned in time for the 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens and helped Fiji to the Melrose Cup title. [6] [7] He competed for Fiji at the 2023 Dubai Sevens and scored the winning try in the opener against the United States. [8]
Talacolo married Emi Kalougata in January 2024. [9] He was selected for the Fiji squad at the 2024 Summer Olympics which won the silver medal. [10] [11]
Waisale Tikoisolomoni Serevi is a Fijian former rugby union football player and coach, and is a member of the World Rugby Hall of Fame. Serevi is renowned for his achievements in rugby sevens, while also enjoying a long career in fifteen-a-side rugby at both club and national team levels. Nicknamed "The Wizard" by commentators, he is widely considered to be the greatest rugby sevens player in the history of the game. A biography of Serevi titled Waisale Serevi: King of Sevens by Nick Darvenzi was published in 2018.
Ben Ryan is an English sports coach who is best known for coaching the Fiji sevens team to a gold medal in sevens rugby at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He is currently Performance Director at EPL association football club Brentford.

Seremaia Tuwai Vunisa, also known as Jerry Tuwai, is a Fiji rugby union player who plays for the Fiji national rugby sevens team. Tuwai made his debut for Fiji 7s at the 2014 Gold Coast Sevens. He was part of the Fiji Sevens team that won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He was named World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year in 2019.

Sevuloni Mocenacagi is a Fijian rugby player who plays as a forward or centre in the Fiji national rugby sevens team. According to Gareth Baber, the coach of the Fiji Sevens team: "Last year he [Mocenacagi] was a forward and this year we're using him in that centre position. He's a threat every time he gets the ball, he's a big powerful runner." Mocenacagi comes from Nukuilau, Navosa on the Island of Viti Levu.
Napolioni Ratu Bolaca is a Fijian rugby sevens and rugby union player, who has played for the Fiji national rugby sevens team since 2019. At club level, he has played for Fijian Drua. Bolaca was the top point scorer in the 2019–20 World Rugby Sevens Series. He was part of the Fijian squad that won the rugby seven tournament at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics.
